@Zefa: it's a very local thing. In a small town in Norway. It's nothing major. Alexander did it because Thomas Stanghelle who wrote the musical is his friend and asked him if he could play the part. There were only two showings yesterday, that's it. Nothing for the national media, really,

OPERA MUSICAL IN LILLESAND.
Coincidentally enough has never Thomas Stanghelle musical about Liam Moe and Mark Wang has been performed in its entirety in Ketils own hometown Lillesand.
It has wandered the world around and become set up both in Istanbul and Jerusalem. But the words never in Lillesand, but some samples. But now offered the opportunity themselves. For Yesterday it was just ten years since that Ketil Moe died at a hospital in Denmark. He was on their way home after completing their 14 New York City Marathon. Liam had been known around the country because of its fight against the disease cystic fibrosis. And carrot in all training was always the next marathon.
The last two he performed his with transplant congestion. But the Kastrup, on the way
home, collapsed he. Obituary. It was a special day yesterday. The obituary from a grip mayor. And with nearly 200 people, Norwegians and Chinese, which entered the scene in Møglestuhallen.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is the part about Alexander (slightly fixed by me) :

The people of Lillesand had not caused chance to go away, they troops up in a number of 1300 Here, they met Alexander Rybak as Ketil Moe, and the Grand Prix winner is a man who at least on distance is almost scary similar to his role-character. Not only in looks, but also in appearance. Alexander had carefully studied Ketil Moes characteristic and his contagious laughter. And indeed we got a test of Rybak fiddling also.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit confusing, it was Perhaps in the beginning when Ketil Moes Chinese friend Mark Wang troops up in person commentator, while the role was filled by musical composer themselves, Stanghelle. But such is the course of each. Stanghelle - family was at all impressive well represented, both mother Turid, father Johan, wife Ingunn and grandmother Mathilde of different roles. Been working EVEN. The two doctors Johan Stanghelle Skyberg and Day, plus physiotherapist Find Bendixen - three people meant a lot in Ketils life - played otherwise all themselves and impressed with his wonderful voice. For many lillesandere becomes an extrapoint when Lillesand Ketil Moe recalled with "AsIL own Carl Jon Hansen appears as the starting pistol shooter, something He has done countless times in real life. While the Norwegian contributors exchanged between the professional on one side and a charming amateur plan the other, was the Chinese innslagene professional literally to the fingertips. That was not much Slinger in the roller at China Disabled People's Performing Art Group. Mention must also at Arendal Sinfonietta and Kolekvinten mourned tone for the party, while a huge chorus composed of local singers illuderte everything from bøllete spectators eager to marathon runners. Finally, it was then time for the unveiling of a much discussed statue of the Chinese artist Xie Jie Lin. And Unveils was no other than Tande-P, which indirectly made Ketil Moe land known when he took to tears during the interview with Liam during opening of the Viking Ship at Hamar. The statue has become something less than originally planned and will placed inside the Little Sands Hall.

TOUCHING MEMORIAL PERFORMANCE.
Almost all Lillesand showed up to see the opera musical "Some Sunny Night "and shelf Kjetil Moes life. In front of five hundred spectators were Kjetil Moe again brought to life in Møglestuhallen Wednesday night. On tiårsdagen to sports hero died filled the local population sports hall for two performances. The show "Some Sunny Night "is an opera musical, Thus, a blend of opera and musical, and it appears that just that - a mix. It was impressive to see how large and professional performance one can make to a sports hall, with huge spotlights, orchestra, big screens and a huge scene. Unfortunately, jobs all the technique a little to himself at times.
Creator and instructor of the opera, Thomas Stanghelle, have focused on minimal a backdrop to his front axle. It is uncertain whether this is to not take attention from the opera message, namely story hero Kjetil Moe, and his friend Mark Wang, or about the right simply is a budget question. Whatever requires a large enough scene in my opinion, nothing more a backdrop to set the mood. The spotlights seems at times to its purpose, and it is so bright that it is difficult to ignore everything the practical is going on, and one gets a feeling of being on a show in a gymnasium - something one actually also is. It should not be used against Stanghelle that he set up a such a show in a sports hall.
It's great that they dare to do something so big for such a small place. Anyway, I would desire lighting had managed to mask surroundings a little more. So to all whoacted in "Some Sunny Night ":
There is no doubt that Thomas Stanghelle is a musical talent, both as singer and composer. The performance is beautiful, and Stanghelle impresses again
on time with his beautiful voice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is the part about Alexander (slightly fixed by me) :

That he has chosen to use Alexander Rybak as Kjetil is mainly positive. Rybak is in no means an equally strong singer that many of the others on stage, but it is probably also a little unfair to compare him with the professional opera singers. Do not get me wrong, Rybak can sing. But in this company it is easy to ”be a little too short”. Fortunately, it can easily be excused when Rybak communicate Kjetil Moe as good as he does. During the performance is there shown video footage of the real Moe, and it is at times striking similarities between him and Rybak, both in appearance and body language.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At Mark Wang even tell their history from the scene, and the way binds the piece together is touching and gives a very special meaning to what we see. Those who deserve the most attention in Stanghelle
Opera is the Chinese dance group My Dream. " They have several impressive performances through performance. Dance Group is part of a Chinese troupe of musicians and artists with disabilities. Time and again they take us to an exotic Chinese world of color, dance and music Mon'd rather not leave. This the journalist had to spent an entire forstilling only with these. The story of the Cystic Fibrosis sick Kjetil Moe, and back injured Mark Wang's inexhaustible optimism, strength and joyin life is inspiring, and Stanghelle way to tell it to do it fair and accessible. That one times are almost snow blindness after to have been blinded by the spotlights, and
that any number is a sufficiently long that one has time to think about some of the huge population of the choir the swine flu makes almost nothing. This is a story one can not miss with.

Russian magazine "Bravo" (a magazine for teenagers).

We knock on the hotel room of Alexander Rybak - door is opened by a heavyset security silently looking straight into our eyes. This imperturbable gaze makes us feel worthless, we can only mumble: "We are to meet with Alexander Rybak. We have an interview. Magazine “BRAVO”. We are lucky that we have Misha Single, our photographer, and the shine of his bald skull gives confidence. We hear the voice from behind the guard: "They are to talk to me. Let them go!" And the security lets us pass into the room. There is Alexander in the middle of the room. He smiles and puts out his hand to greet us.
Alexander: Would you like some nuts? (passes a small green can)
BRAVO: No, thanks. We have eaten not long ago.
A: (nods in response). And I would chump. Please, sit down.
We sit down opposite each other in the chairs. There were a lot of food and bottles of mineral water in the room. A violin, its case and a bow were carelessly lying on the bed. Security was enthusiastically watching how Single was getting his camera ready for the work. Meantime, we start a conversation with Alexander.
BRAVO: Did you have time to talk to Russian fans?
A: You know, after Eurovision, I almost haven’t left Norway, as it is not surprising. So I still had time to communicate only with the Norwegian fans. They love me, they are nice. In Russia they are nice, too. I would like to get acquainted with them closer.
BRAVO: They say that by popularity you overtake the permanent No.1 star of our pop music Dima Bilan. What do you think?
A: (Surprises) No, really?! Are we so alike?
BRAVO: No, you misunderstood. I mean, that now girls see not him, but you in their dreams.
A: (his face seems to light up). Ah, girls! Well, in this way may be it is true. But about Dima: first of all I would like to say that he is a great guy, we met with him several times at some music events, I do not even remember when. In general, I admire his professionalism.
BRAVO: Well, since the talk has gone this way and we started talking about girls, would you tell us how you communicate with your fans.
A: Usually they are the first to come to me, they give papers for autographs, ask some questions. I feel myself uncomfortable to refuse, and I sign all the papers to the last, so as not to offend anybody. By the way, I feel the greatest popularity among Ukrainian girls! (Smiles)
BRAVO: What gifts do you get? I am sure that you are showered with all kind of trifle!
A: They send postcards, write letters. I'm particularly touched when I get hand-made gifts. When I try to imagine how much time people spend on doing them, I get worried. And some girls from a fan-club wrote a book about me, it's so nice! And a couple of times I got boxers! (tries to winkle out a nut from a can and finally he manages to do it).
BRAVO: Did it happen that your female fans seemed attractive to you?
P: Yes, it happened.
BRAVO: And how did you show your sympathy?
A: We went to a cafe, were chatting, communicating. It is very important to understand whether we have common interests or not. Well, that’s a normal thing. All are looking for a partner, and so am I.
BRAVO: What kind of girl do you want to see next to you?
A: I would like her to be beautiful and play music. I would like that we were together always and everywhere and that we always had something to talk about, that is why it is important for me that she were a musician. We will be able to tour together, it will be interesting to be together. Otherwise, we will rarely see each other, because I am always traveling now. Now I have put a goal to myself to find such a person.
BRAVO: Let us help you in your search - let our readers know more about you. Would you tell us how you dress when you do not have to go anywhere.
A: At home or what?
BRAVO: Well, yes.
A: I wear light-green sweat pants. They are totally stretched out and stained from food. I rarely wash it.
BRAVO: And what is your favorite brand of clothing?
A: H&M.
BRAVO: And your favorite dish?
A: Until recently, I loved draniki, but I have already eaten too much of them and do not like anymore.
BRAVO: I know that in Norway, all are riding bicycles. Are you also in the sect of cyclists?
A: No, I love to move by car or on foot. But after I won the Eurovision Song Contest, my producers do not allow... forbid me to go on my own and put four securities to me. Here you have terrible traffic jams in Moscow! I'm afraid that I will have to walk, otherwise we’ll be late.
BRAVO: And why are you in such a hurry? Today is Friday, have fun!
A: I was invited to the anniversary of Alexandra Pakhmutova. I will be there to sing romances.

The security is making a sound like "Umph" to draw our attention, and categorically points on the watch. Our time is out. Alexander fusses, takes the nuts left in the can, eats them, and apologizes. Single makes the last photos of Rybak with a violin in his hands, and we say goodbye.

Alexander Rybak in the Ukrainian program "Analysis of blood" (1.11)

Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EifVvKtKbFY

Translation provided by me and Julia

Part 1.

Today there is the winner of the latest ESC Alexander Rybak in our program.

The name of Alexander Rybak is not in the Guinness Book of Records yet, but he has already set up a ESC record – his song got the highest number of votes in the history of Eurovision. Immediately after Eurovision "Fairytale" of Rybak took the first place in almost all the European charts. It was officially recognized as the best song in Europe; in Ukraine it was in the top of music charts as well.

Sergey Kuzin, director general of “Russian Radio-Ukraine":
- It’s a good, pop, simple and easy to understand song.

The young artist did not expect such a success. He has been dreaming about it, but did not expect it would be the ESC that would bring him recognition. Today Alexander Rybak doesn’t have a free minute.

A. – Yes, I get tired. But then I sleep well and then again the next day ... (work?)

Today in our program we will tell you how Alexander Rybak found his way to Eurovision, if he is well known in the USA, where to find the singer on the Internet, and who stole the famous violin of the artist. Also in today's program:

The first tour of Alexander Rybak,
A. - I traveled with a violin, with a backpack ...

a gift from a Ukrainian star,
A. – Within two weeks of ESC ...

and personal life of the artist.
A. - First kiss? Then I was 12 years old ...

Well let us open the first page of our records. Let us get to know about the childhood of Alexander Rybak, about his participation in the Norwegian Star Factory and about his way to Eurovision.

Upbringing, education, and other details of development in our heading "Genesis".

Before ESC Alexander was known only in the Scandinavian countries. The young artist was popular there as he always participated in music contests. Projects like the Russian talent show "People's Artist" or "Star Factory" are held throughout the world.

A. – But I started with the classical contests, and has always been in first or second place.

In 2006 Alexander Rybak was the winner of one of these contests. Then he sang his own song in English and received 800 thousand votes in the final (plays Foolin). It would seem that such a victory would ensure his future career, but it didn’t turn out the way he was dreaming about it. Rybak was recognized but he didn’t attract a capacity crowd. Moreover, an artist, got a new hobby:

A. - Last summer ... I went, knocked on the door and asked whether you want to let me in, I'll give a concert and then .. well .... then I'll sleep in your house ( it is right the way he said it with mistakes in Russian).

Until quite recently the winner of ESC traveled around Norway and gave small concerts in small towns. Now the European star looks back at them with a smile:

A. - I was travelling for two weeks with a violin, with a backpack and ... well .. and all let me in, and I always played concerts. Well, such intimate concerts, of course ...

And during one of these trips Alexander Rybak wrote his most popular song, which brought him recognition. He was inspired by nature and unhappy love, and then the artist felt - it will be a real hit.

A. - The first time I played it on the mountain ... and I thought: "Oh, maybe it's even my best song I have ever written".

The singer wrote the best song in his life – it’s not surprising that he wanted to sing it to the whole world. But how? No way if you go only around Norwegian villages. Fortunately it was then when he met a person who is influential with the Eurovision song contest:

A. - He is a producer, he is a compere, and he is everyone ... He is just always looking for talents for Eurovision. He really liked the song and that's it ... I decided to participate.

Alexander Rybak was born in the Belarusian city of Vitebsk and lived there until he was 5. His parents are musicians, they were teaching music in Belarus and are doing the same in Norway now:

A. – Father is a teacher. There are… I don’t know… about 30 students... so .... And my mother, she has 4 choruses…

The Rybaks found themselves in Norway thanks to Alexander’s father - he went abroad on tour. He liked Norway and decided to stay there, and eventually the whole family moved to him.

A. – He met a very rich family there. And they admited him to their family.

Parents of Alexander Rybak did not expect their son to become a gifted violinist because they had to make a boy play music. Artist often recalls that story, as well as during his visit to Belarus. This is part of an interview the singer gave at “Slavianski Bazaar” in Vitebsk:

A. - When I had to practise for 2-3 hours every day, and all the others were playing in the street ... sometimes I even cried and asked my mother, why it is me who has to play music, she told me: "Well, everyone in Russia does like this!"

Nevertheless Alexander Rybak became popular, though not a violinist. He loves classical music, plays the violin perfectly, but still performs pop music. Parents do not mind, because the surname of Rybak is known in the whole Europe now.

A. - I am trying to play some Mozart, Beethoven, but it is just more interesting for me to tell stories…. well…. that people have never heard about, and pop music is just much more congenial to me now.

Part 2.

(plays Fairytale)

This is the victorious song of Alexander Rybak that brought him the highest number of votes.
Before then it was the Finnish group Lordi holding the record with 292 points since the year 2004. Alexander’s performance was rather a simple one: no large-scale decorations (performance of Loboda in 2009 is shown), no famous figure dancers (performance of Bilan with Plushenko on ice in 2008 is shown), no balets (performance of Bilan in 2007 is shown).

А. – But my performance wasn’t a complicated one.

Ukrainian experts have been discussing this issue and compared performance of Rybak to what was performed on stage by the representative of Ukraine Svetlana Loboda – that was a large-scale show, the one Eurovision has probably never seen.

Marina Levchenko, editor-in-chief of the handbook «Showbiz»
- I consider that she lost because of these huge decorations. She is a person herself, she is an energetic girl herself, like a lighter. She shouldn’t have dressed that costume and had all those decorations. She was outshined by it, she got lost in it.

Alexander Rybak himself pointed on the difference, and he is in good relations with Svetlana Loboda. She gave him a T-shirt of her own design as a present. The singer even promised to appear on stage in it.

А. – I was wearing it, anyway, during two weeks of Eurovision.

Rybak confirms that his performance was much simpler. It wasn’t his goal to impress the audience by a huge show. Two vocalists, three dancers and certainly a violin were enough for him.

А. – She had a huge machine, and I – only three dancers, rather cheap.

It is interesting, what does Morten Harket think about the victory of Alexander Rybak. Morten is a famous Norwegian musician, the leader of the group A-HA. He staged a musical where Alexander Rybak also took part. An experienced artist recommended his young colleague not to go to Moscow, because it didn’t seem to be prestigious. Rybak didn’t follow his advice and he never regreted:

А. – Well, Norway is a small country with… how much…five…four and a half million people. He has sold 30 thousand albums. And I have sold 120 thousand.

Victory at Eurovision always is of benefit to the artists. It brings a long tour around Europe, new albums, concerts and interviews. The price for the artist also rises. And for Alexander it is not even two or three times higher, now he costs tens times more than last year.
And we will talk about it in our program later.

Later in the program:
А. – I always think that if I receive a letter, I have to answer it
А. - …a movie for kids, I have a small part in it, I play a gypsy …
А - …dis-app-O-int (*tries to repeat after the reporter*) Oh my God! (*turns up his eyes*) What a difficult language you have?!
The song Fairуtale turned out to be a real hit after Eurovision, and Alexander Rybak – a star of the world level. And will a young singer manage the sudden fame and for how long will he be on the surge of success? Let us discuss it right now.

Where do the stars work and rest? Living.

Oprah Winfrey is a famous American TV talk show host. Forbs called her one of the most influential women in the USA. Her fortune is valued at 3 billion US dollars. She is a famous TV talk show host and the most famous people of the world have come to her show. But Alexander Rybak denied meeting with Oprah Winfrey.

А. – I sad “No” to Oprah because it had already been arranged… that… and all the contracts for the concerts had been signed and then I didn’t want to… (*is trying to recall a proper word*)… dis-app-O-int (*tries to repeat after the reporter*) Oh my God! (*turns up his eyes*) What a difficult language you have?!

That was the second invitation from the USA that the Norwegian singer rejected. Earlier he had been offered to record an album in the USA, but in case of acceptance he would have to stay there for a couple of weeks. However, Rybak is more interested in Europe.

A. – Then they want me to stay there for 4-5 weeks. And it would be ungrateful… to other countries.

Now a young star has a tight schedule. He doesn’t have a free minute. Every concert or performance results in interviews. Reporters queue up to talk with the actor. But he fails to talk to all.

A. – I’m sorry, but can we finish. I’m completely (*rubs his eyes and yawns*)… I can not think any more.
(from me - *and I was almost crying looking at him - so tired and praying for mercy*)

Since May Alexander has been playing concerts almost every day and he sings his famous song everywhere. There are no other hits in his repertoire now. Isn’t he tired of singing one and the same song?

A. – Actually, no. I’m not tired of it. Because you always need… there’s always new audience.

And what is it “Fairytale”? Would it be so popular if it were not the ESC winner? And why do the first son of Alexander Rybak that brought him victory in the Norwegian TV show failed to appear in European charts?

Sergey Kuzin, director general of “Russian Radio-Ukraine":

The song turned out to be real, because one could see sincere eyes, frankness, and the fact that he had written it himself, told a story, suffered… or didn’t suffer… this I don’t know.

Lack of personal hits Alexander Rybak compensates by performing other famous songs, the ones we are in love with since our childhood. It’s a part of his dream that he finally managed to bring into life.

Alexander Rybak in the Ukrainian program "Analysis of blood" (1.11)

Part 3
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QvpLzKZkdA

Alexander Rybak had the low-budget show at ESC. Video on Fairytale was also a simple one. The singer didn’t spend money on a promotional tour in its support. Now everything has changed. Fees have increased, so some money may be taken for his own promotion. Recently, the singer shot videos on his songs:

А: We have already released a video on Roll with the wind and Funny little world. These are really very interesting videos.

(RWW video is shown)

This is a video on one of the new songs of Alexander Rybak. There is the whole Norwegian color in it: wild flowers, sea, a Scandinavian blonde and, of course, a violin – there’s no Alexander Rybak without it.

Recently, Alexander Rybak visited Ukraine with concerts in Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa. Attendance was enough, many came with flowers, but the most passionate fans have been waiting for the singer at the service entrance.

A: I think Ukraine is the country with the greatest number of cameras (*journalists laugh*). Yes, it is so, everybody is with a camera everywhere.

The violin of Rybak is a special issue. Journalists pay special attention to it. All remember that the singer was detained at the Ukrainian customs, because he imported a piece of art – a violin of 18th century, which required additional declaration.
And here is another scandal about a musical instrument. The incident happened just after the victory of Alexander at Eurovision. Rybak returned to Norway, where he was met by hundreds of fans, and then it turned out that the distinguished violin had disappeared – it wasn’t in the luggage. At once newspapers wrote that Rybak had been robbed. But very soon the management reassured that the violin is in safety. May it have been a promotion trick? Such tricks are used by all the actors, why Rybak shouldn’t try?

Anyway, Alexander Rybak is always with his violin both on and off stage. Recently, the young singer made his debut in cinema in the film for children "Yohan". Rybak played a small part in it, but there is a violin even in this episode.

A: This is a film for children. I really have a small part in it, I play a gypsy. Morton Harket plays my dad.

A bit part in the film is just the start of a career of an actor. Alexander Rybak is 100% sure in it. He will play his best part in future. Moreover, he is planning to shoot his own film:

A. - I would like to stage a musical, maybe even a feature film.

But what inspires the young artist? Perhaps he gets strength out of his popularity and a feeling that people need his talent. Or he is inspired by girls, whose attention he feels every moment. The actor knows the answer, but you will hear it a little bit later.
Later in our program:

First love of Rybak,
A: ... and still I was very stupid...

preferences of the foreign star
A: ... besides, there are also outer qualities ...

and answers to the questions of viewers.

Six months ago few people knew a girl named Ingrid Berg Mehus. Today the whole Europe knows that Rybak devoted his victorious song to her.
Right now we’ll get to know what happens in private life of the young star now.

All that makes the heart beat faster under the heading "Cardiogram”.

This story has been already retold by Alexander Rybak for hundreds of times. He was head over heals in love with a girl and they had been together for almost 2 years. Then Igrid left him for another man, but Alexander seems to like her even now. Otherwise, he wouldn’t devote a song to her.

A: My first love is exactly the girl, I sing about in Fairytale, Ingrid. We were together for a year or a year and a half, and still I was very stupid and put an end to our romance... Unfortunately…

But what is “Fairytale” about? This is really a love story. The singer tells that once he fell in love with a girl, and she fell in love with him; sometimes they started fighting, but still felt happy. Once he couldn’t find her. But if he does, they’ll get a brand new start.
(sounds Fairytale)

But it seems that there won’t be a new start. At least, the newspapers write about new love affairs of Rybak. As if he fell in love with a Moscow journalist and took her with him to Norway. Another story is connected with the Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda. They were often seen together backstage at ESC. It was said that there was something between them. But all this is only rumors. Rybak likes Ani Lorak more.

A. - I have heard only a couple of other songs, but I really liked them, yes. Of all the singers I like Ani Lorak most of all.

Old Maple

Old maple, old maple,
Old maple tapping on the glass,
Inviting us to your friends for a walk.
Why, why,
Why am I so bright?
Because you walk down the street.

Snow, snow,
Snowfall is long overdue,
Like to visit us again spring back.

Why, why,
Why so good?
Because you I just smiled.

Look, look,
Look at the sky,
As he shines serene and pure.
Why, why,
Why the accordion sing?
Just because someone loves the accordion ...

Alexander Rybak in the Ukrainian program "Analysis of blood" (1.11)

Part 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DObRUiho2Ls&feature=channel

Part 4

By Julia Bezbakh, Tanya Kudinova and Tanya Kuzmina.

Comments by Julia Bezbakh

Alexander Rybak is quite frank while talking about his private life. He can talk about it even at a press conference in the presence of dozens of people or during a hot line on radio when he is listened by millions. When was his first kiss? It turns out it was in 12 years.

A: My first kiss? I was 12 then. She was a bit older ... as usually (laughs).

Another confession of the young star: he used to be very shy and didn’t know how to get acquainted with a girl, and only some Norwegian cocktail helped (a picture of the cocktail is shown).

A: As for me, the alcohol has always been a way to ... hmm .... (smb is suggesting to him) .. meet a girl! Yes! I always had to drink a little bit (smb is prompting "for the courage, to be brave") … put on a brave face!

What is happening today in the singer's private life? Perhaps, he had already found the one who would inspire him for the next hit? It seems he didn’t. Alexander Rybak takes the inspiration in other things.

A: I get the inspiration from everything ... well .. in a restaurant, on the plane - everywhere! Even if I see some nice flower…

But if Alexander Rybak still didn’t find his queen ( close up of Julia Bezbakh – now she loves the camera-man and this programm. It is her first star hour, I (Tanya) hope, it will last long ;) ), the Ukrainian girls have a chance! The singer is ready to tell us which girls he likes most of all. Maybe some of his fans will be disappointed.

А: Natali Portman. She is my favorite, dearest actress and even if she wasn’t an actress, anyway she would be my favorite beloved girl. So I would married her with pleasure (bravo Facebookies!!! The BOOK is true ;) You are great! )

Natali Portman isn’t married yet, but she confirms that she isn’t going to get married. So Alexander doesn’t have lot of chances. He doesn’t mind to date a usual slavic girl if she is beautiful and able to play a violin.

А: Well, the most important thing is that the girl has to let me see that she really needs me. And besides there are also outer qualities.

So everybody who wishes to get acquainted with Alexander Rybak can write him to his e-mail. He promises to answer. But there is one condition: it is necessary to find his real page on the Internet (OUR page is shown!!!)

А: I always thought that it is necessary to answer on the letter I receive. I consider that communication is the most important thing in the world.

Later in our program:

А: …I would like to write a …
А: … It takes a lot of money to host ESC in Norway …
А: …then I understood that I wouldn’t survive, so I asked to fly a helicopter …
analiz_krovi@novy.tv – our e-mail. You can send your questions to celebrities to this e-mail. We will ask them in our program. In some minutes we will talk to Alexander Rybak, and now let us discuss the money issue.

Mobile phones, cars, accessories and fashion. Everything that helps to move in our life: «Apparatus»

А: …I wrote a song in 2006… and then I was the winner in another contest with this song.

Alexander Rybak won the young talents contest in Norway. It was just the first step. The next was Eurovision. After it the cost for the singer has risen. His fees are not exorbitant, but rather high. They say that now Alexander Rybak costs approximately 50 thousand Euros.

А: Before, I wasn’t paid any fees at all. So now.... (journalists are asking: “for food?”, Julia Nelson, sitting next to Alex is laughing and says: “for bananas”)… Yes (he nods).

Does Alexander have a star fever? Ongoing attention and a lot of money often spoil people. Recently there was a scandal in press: the star of Eurovision requires beer and scented candles to his dressing room. It happened in Belarus when the singer was at " Slavianski Bazaar" festival. One of the newspapers published the relevant paragraphs of his rider. However, the artist denied everything at the press conference – he doesn’t need extra luxury and, of course, any beer. He just wants to rest in normal conditions.

А: If I look terrible, then I feel it's almost indecent from my side to meet someone …
In fact, there is nothing superfluous in singer’s rider: water and sandwiches for himself, and fruit and cola for the dancers. The star prefers to move around the city together with his team in a simple minivan. At least that's how it was arranged during Rybak’s tour in Ukraine. He travels by plane or train for long distances, although ones he ordered a jet.

A: That happened when I was very very sick ... and still didn’t want to cancel the concert, I had to get up at 5 o'clock to go by train, and then I realized that simply wouldn’t survive, so I asked to fly a helicopter.

Part 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTMb_JapVxw&feature=channel\

Part 5

We have the winner of ESC Alexander Rybak in the view of our programm today. He is ready to answer some questions.

R: Hi, Alexander!
A: Hi, Gena! Hallo!

R: There are certainly a lot of questions sent to you but we have chosen three of them. Here’s the first one from Oleg from Odessa. Would you like to sing a song of Gazmanov “Ty moryachka – ya moryak, ty rybachka – ya rybak”?
(* Gazmanov is a Russian singer who sings the Russian song translated as “you are a sailor-girl, I’m a sailor, you are a fisherwoman, I’m a fisherman”*)
A: *laughs* I liked the song very much, but let him sing it and I will sing mine.

R: The second question from Alina Mironova from Donetsk: Were one can find you on the Internet? Is there truly your page anywhere?
A: I have a profile only on FaceBook. I don’t even know if it is in Russia or no. And I don’t have a profile on “Odnoklassniki” and “Vkontakte” (*Russian variants of FaceBook*), so if you found me there – it’s not really me.

R: And the last question from Seva from Kiev: After ESC you have already been to many different countries. Where does the audience receive you in the best way?
A: Well… I would say Finland… Because they are really crazy there… well… but in Ukraine they are also crazy… crazy audience. They give me a lot of their love… they are very sincere… a lot of smiles… Yes, I see a lot, a lot of smiles and it is very pleasant.

R: Well, thank you for your answers. I know that you have a very tough schedule and I do not dare to hold you. Good luck to you and nice concerts!
A: Thank you!
Then (1:35) Alexander says in Norwegian: “All the best to you, very nice to see you. This is Alexander Rybak on channel 1” (*I am grateful to Sara foк translation of this phrase*) and adds “that was in Norwegian”.

R: And we will continue our program and sum up in our program “Analysis of Blood”.

Results, conclusions and views on life. “Analysis of Blood”.

A: I never thought that I would take part in Eurovision. And it didn’t start with the desire to win ESC.

According to the rules of ESC the next contest is to be held in the winner-country. And so, the show is going to Norway. And now the authorities of Norway are worried. The Norwegians are thrifty and they lack money to host the contest on the level the Russians did.

A: It takes a lot of money to hold ESC in Norway. And that’s why certainly all…, a lot of guys… well… on me… (smiles)

And what about Alexander Rybak himself? For how long does he hope to be on the surge of success? How much profit is he going to whincle out from his hit?

Sergey Kuzin, director general of “Russian Radio-Ukraine":

There are no wonders in life. I guarantee you that after about two years one won’t see this childish and naive shine in Rybak’s eyes. The life will clear the air.

The singer understands that “Fairytale” will be popular just till the next ESC. But he has great ambitions and great plans for the future. He would like to release the second album, become an actor and shoot his own film. Perhaps there will be a violin in it. From now it is the violin that is his talisman.

A: I would like to write a fairytale myself. Oh, I have already written a fairytale (smiles). But now I would like one more, a longer one. And that we would talk and sing in Norwegian and that it would be translated into different languages then.

A quick translation of the "Denmark part" :

Rybak was last night on the road between Malmö and Kristiansand, but he managed to give a brief comment to VG before the no-mobile-zone in departure area at Copenhagen: "To be playing at the Nobel concert is very "knall" (= norwegian slang, meaning something like "totally awesome")

@Sandra and Marijke - this guys tells that his sister likes Alex and wants his address and, well, jokes around, with a serious face though. Then he asks Alex if he can give him a rubic's cube as a gift. "Yes of course, no problem". And he starts to explain about the rubic's cube. It's a tradition that if you respect a person, you give him or her the rubic's cube. So he hands over the cube out of his sisters name. He tells that his sister already gave Dima Bilan such a cube. Alex watches the cube, the guy goes on, telling that they like "Fairytale", etc. Alex is then so polite to ask him if all Hungarians know Russian, but he says: no, that he learned it for his job, since he works there now.

Alex’s interview on radio Mayak in Moscow, 22.10.09

http://www.radiomayak.ru/tvp.html?id=206085

Part 1
Man: As we have promised you our guest today is Alexander Rybak. Hello, Sasha!
Alex: Hello!
Woman: It’s a pleasure for us that you have popped up on Mayak.
A: It’s a pleasure to me.
M: By the way, it’s a sort of symbol that has a direct relation to Norway. (Mayak is a lighthouse in English) There are a lot of lighthouses in Norway.
W: Don’t tap on a microphone!
A: Oi-oi-oi, sorry!
M: We’ve got a lot of questions in our forum, SMS-portal. I’ll remind you that you can ask Alexander questions in our forum, SMS-portal.
A: Aren’t there enough yet?
M: No, we need more.
W: We want forum to collapse.
M: Numbers to call -…..
M: Sasha, I’d like to ask you straightaway - has your life changed much since Eurovision and do you like what is going on with you or not?
A: First of all - I like everything, absolutely. And the life itself… I don’t even know. Everything around me has changed but feelings remain the same. It’s just I get happy now because of different things and I get sad because of different reasons than before. So, before I got sad because there was no cheese in a fridge and now I got sad because, for example, there was only a half of the public at one of the concerts.
M: Does it happen?
A: Well, just now it happened for the first time. In Sweden.
W: In Sweden? How come?
M: They do that on purpose.
A: And there in Sweden also my album… They gave it the best ratings in Norway and the worst in Sweden.
W: Envy is a bad feeling.
M: And for that we will make them listening to a commercial and ABBA for four times in a row.
After the commercial:
M: Our guest today is Alexander Rybak – a musician, singer and winner of the international music contest Eurovision-2009. In case if there is someone who does not know about it yet.
W: But there is no one like that here, Sasha.
M: Unlike in Sweden, Sasha, there is no one.
W: We’d like to concentrate on your hobby.
A: Yes, with pleasure.
M: There are computer games among the hobbies our editors notified us about.
A: Yes.
M: On the one hand, it is a good hobby. On the other hand, it is, in my opinion, very addictive.
A: It’s a great hobby. So what's wrong if it’s addictive?
M: What’s wrong? You stop writing good songs, talk to friends, go in for sports...
W: It causes addiction. It's like smoking.
A: No, why? Smoking is just bad and you get nothing good out of that. But I would say that the TV games are my best inspiration.
M: Well, what games do you play?
A: Different games.
W: The favorite one?
A: Well, games or movies, for example, a horror movie. If it’s a very-very scary movie and, maybe, I really like one character, and then I think: oh, just about him I want to write.
W: And an inspiration comes, right? It’s interesting.
A: Yes- yes-yes. So, I have an inspiration from very bizarre things.
W: Are there always horror movies or other movies too?
A: No, I just said that it cold be from anything. But very often it’s from the nature.
W: You mean from mountains, sea?
A: Yes. There is the most beautiful nature in Norway – mountains, fjords.
W: Do you like the most the Northern or the Southern nature?
A: And the Southern is like?...
M: Greece, for example, cypresses.
A: The very Southern, right? Well, it’s different very much from the normal world, so….
M: Well, for us - northern people, of course! Give us the snow!
A: By the way, I really like snow and I like winter very much. And the Norwegians are just a very optimistic people. But although we do skiing very good and, in general, are sportsmen…
M: As far as I know, everybody does skiing and skating there.
A: Yes-yes-yes. But actually nobody likes that feeling of winter; everybody wants summer to come sooner.
M: So, they do skiing and think that summer should come sooner.
A: Yes. Because they do not understand nostalgia in the way we love it in Russia, in Belarus, such a melancholy, and the snow, the snowfall even helps a lot.
M: I don’t know about melancholy but in the song you won Eurovision with… although there are some sad notes in it, but it’s quite optimistic after all.
A: Well, yeah. I wanted to show people that I’m a little bit crazy. (laugh) Because although I kind of in love with the girl and have loved her for six years by now without any results, I am happy anyway.
M: Yes, only a crazy man can do this.
W: What was the inspiration for that song?
A: The girl, of course. And again - the nature of Norway. Last year I was traveling through the mountains, and there on the highest mountain I took out the violin and began to play a melody. It liked the melody very much, so I began to write text to it. And the song was born.
W: Some of my acquaintances – and I’m agree with them - we saw you in this song (Fairytale) as a character from the movie “Titanic”.
A: Oi-oi-oi.
M: DiCaprio?
W: Not personally DiCaprio, but his character there. What was his name?
M: I don’t remember his name. Why do you look at me?
A: Why? Like, I have drowned?
W: It’s just a similarity… the way you performed on ESC, your entire performance, that violin, the way you were dancing, your smile.
A; Wow, I have never heard something like that before. It’s very pleasant.
W: Really? Then my friends are crazy too.
A: I’ll watch “Titanic” right after I get home.
M: We must ask you the questions from the forum or your fans won’t understand us.
M: Alena Dejavju from the forum “Rybak’s fans” writes: “Does Shasha choose his clothes by himself or he has a specially trained person to do this?”
A: A specially trained person?
M: It’s just a phrase of speech – here it means a stylist.
A: Yes, I have a stylist. But I think that I absolutely don’t need it. Because the most important is that the clothes to be clean and not to spoil a show on TV. And it’s completely does not matter to me whether it’s an expensive brand or not.
M: Do you have to reckon with what they recommend you to put on? When they say – no, Sasha, it’s better to put on THIS.
A: Well, if they have a good argument.
M: So, it’s possible to convince you?
A: A-ha. But mostly it’s me who convinces them.
W: Did it happen that they brought to you some clothes that you didn’t like and that didn’t suit you and you said – no, never.
A: Of course. In 90% of cases.
W: 90%? Maybe you should change the stylist then?
Laugh
W: Helen asks: “Is it true that your girlfriend must necessarily have blue eyes?”
A: But I don’t have a girlfriend. …Ah! I got it!
M: In general.
A: I got it, I got it.
W: He said he has no girlfriend! (with exaggeratedly excited voice)
Laugh
A: No. They can be green or yellow (laughs)
W: So, she will be black-skinned with yellow eyes. Zzzzzoom…
W: So, what else questions do we have here?
M: Anton Markin asks: “Do you read Russian forum on your page on the Internet?”
A: Emmm…
M: Because people write there and they don’t know whether you read it or not.
A: I read forum sometimes. On Facebook, right?
M: Yes, on Facebook.
A: Sometimes I send by myself different SMS, MMS to Facebook from my tour. But I almost never have time to check it out later and to answer different… how to say this… comments.
A: And to read Russian forum is very difficult to me. Because I very-very bad… Well, you can hear that...
M: No, you speak great.
A: Well, I speak OK but I read very-very bad.
W: How old were you when your parents brought you to Norway?
A: I was five. So, I’m very grateful that Russian people accepted me, so I try to learn reading Russian again but for now it’s just such small stories about Winnie the Pooh and so on.
W: It’s OK, soon you’ll make it to “War and Peace”
M: Irina writes that they wait so much for your concert in Berlin on the 2nd of December. We have listeners even in Berlin and in Finland…
A: It’s very pleasant. Well, she has to wait for a little more, then. I’ll come. (laughs)
W: In what year on the 2nd of December?
M: Will it be this year?
A: Yes-yes-yes.
W: In Berlin?
A: Yes. So far we have been… In the summer we gave many concerts in Norway. Because it’s my country actually. We had about 40 concerts.
W: That many?!
A: Yes. We played for almost 200 000 people in this summer. And then we have started our new tour with new songs. We started in Ukraine, it was very interesting. Then there were concerts in Minsk and in Latvia, Lithuania. And now we are in Sweden.
W: Somebody wrote about Kiev here.
M: Yes, they wrote that you performed in Kiev and they thanked you very much for that concert.
A: Thank you.
M: Valeria Lexina writes: What was the bravest act in your life besides performing in Eurovision?
A: When I told the girl that I still love her.
W: That was a brave act?
A: I think that was the bravest act.
M: And was a performing in Eurovision a brave act?
A: Oh, no. It was a smart act.
Laugh
M: Great. “Sasha, are you still together with the girl you dedicated your song to?” Well, I think that everybody knows now that you are not.
A: Well, everybody knows that I’m not.
W: Alena asks: “What do you do with that heap of stuffed toys and other presents you get at concerts? And what gift did you remember the most?”
A: Well, the most valuable to me are those gifts when I feel that there was a lot of time spent on them. Like, for example, the huge-huge albums or books.
M: Hand-made, right?
A: Yes. With pictures, with stories Especially from Facebook… a group of girls from all over Europe… they gave me very-very interesting book. Of course, it’s interesting to me because it’s about me (laughs). That is what I like very-very much. And all those toys - I try to collect them all and I think I’ll give them away to a children hospital at the end of the year. So, I try to bring in all those toys home with me. But it’s difficult, of course. Especially it’s a pity that the country where they give me presents the most is the one that is far the most from Norway.
M: What country is it?
A: Here, of course, in Russia. And in Belarus and Ukraine too. But it’s hard to take it on a plane when they give me just huge bags…
M: With toys.
A: So, I try to eat up all the chocolate while I’m still in Russia.
Laugh
M: One more question: “What do you do before you go out on stage? How do you get yourself prepared for a performance? Are there any rituals you do?”
A: You know what, it’s always a shame when they ask me this question because I don’t prepare myself at all. I’ve been preparing myself for so long, for 15-16 years till now I’ve been practicing for 2-3 hours a day. And now I suddenly play and sing very simple pieces. Because now it’s more of a pop-music, so it’s more important to tell a story. And I don’t have any rituals too actually. We just do a high-five all together. How it will be in Russian?
M: High-five? I don’t know how it will be in Russian.
W: A clap?
M: Ah! A clap! Now we have figured it out.
W: “I’d like to get to your concert. Are you going to perform in Kazan?”- Kamilya asks. Kazan is in Russia, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A: If there will be a lot of public then with pleasure.
W: Bring up the public, Kamilya, and you’ll get a concert.
A: And if not – then you can come to other cities at least. For example, in Saint-Petersburg, in Moscow.
M: They ask how big will be your tour over Russia and if there will be any tour at all?
A: To be honest, I don’t remember every city now, but there will be four cities.
W: (to the audience) We’ll ask our manager which cities are they and tell you later.
M: One more question, a personal question: “Alex, if a girl will invite you for a date, will you accept an invitation?” I.e. if it’s not you invite a girl but a girl invites you. A girl comes up to you and says: “Sasha, come for a date to a cinema.”
A: If I have time and will…
Laugh
M: You need to switch places here – if you have a will then you have time.
A: Ah, well, to be honest, yes.
W: They also ask you about “star fever”. Is this thing familiar to you?
A: Well, yes. I get a “star fever” every day. I get sick with it every day but then I get cured over every night.
W: You are so funny.
M: Today our guest is Alexander Rybak. Please, send us your questions. We’ll try to ask as much of them as we can.
W: Now we are going to listen to one more song. What is its name – Roll with the wind?
A: Yes.
W: Is this a new song?
A: Well, not that new but maybe for Russian public it’s a new one, I like it very much.

Part 2:
M: I remind you that our guest today is Alexander Rybak. You can send your questions to… (numbers)
M: Sasha, there are two of Eurovision contests. There is Eurovision of children’s songs , when children sing, and for grown-ups.
A: For elders. (laughs)
M: For elders. Like you, for example. By the way, that contest of children’s songs will be aired by the TV channel “Russia”, our colleges, who are working at the same building we are in now. And the big contest that will be in May of the next year in Norway will be aired by the same TV channel.
A: And do you know who won the last year?
M: Last year? I don’t know.
A: Norway, of course.
M: No! No way!
Laugh
W: They say there was a singer who speaks Russian, Norwegian.
A: Ah! No-no-no, I’m talking about the contest for youngsters.
M: Ah! I thought you were joking.
A: No, I never make jokes.
W: Yes, you are very serious.
A: For youngsters. And then it was Norway too. You see how proud we are. (laughs)
M: Yes.
W: Were they happy about your victory in your country?
A: Very happy, of course. But I realized it straight away that they love me now but in a couple of months… Especially when they have known that we have to spend all the money on Eurovision so there is no money left for the football championship. The World championship.
W: That’s serious.
A: Yes. So, on the contrary, they all hate me now in Norway. (laugh).
W: No, I don’t think so.
A: That’s why I came here. For good. (laughs)
M: We have enough of money for both Eurovision and the Championship.
A: There you are.
M: What advice would you give to children who perform there?
A: Children don’t need any advices. Children know better than anyone what to do. I would rather give an advice to parents to not force their youngsters too much because the most important is… This is actually a game, you need to enjoy it. There is nothing so serious about it. If there is a talent, if the song is beautiful, then let them vote, go in for this. But you don’t have to give over all your life to Eurovision. So, parents have to be cautious to not too much…
M: Was it for you before Eurovision like “I have to win or die”? Like “I must necessarily win”?
A: I did not want to die, in any case.
M: It’s just a phrase of speech.
A: I just knew that I was the one of the favorites.
M: You knew from the beginning?
A: Yes, because the bookmakers put me as a favorite straightaway. So, it was very hard and took a lot of nerves because they would not let me get back to Norway if I would not win.
Laugh
M: Bookmakers fails sometimes. They all made bets on Barcelona…
W: We are talking about football now.
M: But Rubin from Kazan won.
A: But it’s a little bit different from football. There everything is accidental.
M: First of all, they don’t sing.
A: Yes, exactly.
W: By the way, there is a question about self-confidence. “Is it true that there is a song “Da ya think I’m sexy” in your new program?”
A: Oi-oi-oi! Yes, but it’s a surprise; you should not talk about it.
W: Oh! What have I done! That’s it! The question is taken off.
M: Dasha asks: “Alexander, would you like to sing a song in Russian?” Apparently, Dasha is not in the know that you already have such songs.
A: Well, first of all, I have now… how it’s called in Russian - re-release?
W: Yes, on the 23d the album will be re-released.
A: There will be two new songs in Russian, even three. So, if people have not bought my first album then it’s better to wait a little and to buy it with Russian songs. And at my concerts I actually sing many of classics, well, not many – two songs. (laughs)
W: That’s many.
M: Well, that’s more than one.
A: But they are old ones. I like old songs very much, because I actually don’t know new ones because I left when I was five. So, parents just have shown to me.
W: Do you listen to the Russian music now?
A: Old one. Well, not very old, for example, Komarovo, I like it very much. So, I perform it at concerts. And the ballad “I asked the ash-tree”
W: Beautiful song.
A: Very beautiful. It’s my favorite.
M: It’s from a very popular movie here in Russia. By the way they ask you what music do you listen to.
A: I just told.
W: No, in general.
A: Ah, in general. In general, I like beautiful and simple melodies. This is the most important to me, the genre is not important to me at all.
W: And which musicians?
A: I like Sting very much. He never disappointed me yet. Michel Jackson had always only genial songs as well. Andrea Bocelli always chooses the most beautiful songs as well. And also I like many artists but usually only two-three songs of every artist. It’s very rare that I buy the whole album of an artist or a band. So, I like Schweine of Glukoza very much, for example, but it does not mean that I like all songs. By the way, is it a band or is it just a girl?
W: It’s a girl.
M: At first it was a cartoon-clips, so nobody knew what she looks like. But it’s a female-singer.
A: But now they know how she looks like?
M: Yes, of course.
A: But did people like it?
M: How she looks?
A: Yes.
M: Yes.
A: It’s very good.
W: She is very similar with the one from the cartoon.
M: It turned out that she is very funny and interesting girl.
A: I just adore a couple of her songs.
M: Nadezhda, our listener from Ufa, who is 17, knows that you play in the movie Yohan. She asks -was it released already?
A: It’s a family movie. No, they delay the release date for the later and later all the time.
W: Does Morten Harket play there?
A: Yes, Morten Harket plays my dad. But to be honest I have a small role.
W: Anyway it’s interesting experience.
A: Well, yes, it’s more an experience than…
M: Don’t you have a wish to continue the actor career?
A: I’d love to with pleasure. You know what, I’d like to make a musical, film-musical. My own.
W: Do that. We’ll be waiting for it. Giya and me will be the first ones to attend it.
W: I have to tell about five cities Alexander will perform in. Rostov, Samara, Moscow, Ekaterinburg and Saint-Petersburg. And we have phone-calls.
A: Great. Finally.
M: Yes, let’s give them the opportunity.
W: Hello, Evgeniy.
Evgeniy: Hello to everybody. May ask Alexander a question?
A: Of course, you may.
Evgeniy: I’ve heard that after Eurovision there were some troubles with you instrument, like it was stolen or something. Can you tell something about it, how did the story end.
A: And what do you think – did it really happen or not?
Evgeniy: But I’m asking you. Because I’m a detective and maybe I could help you somehow.
A: It’s very pleasant. Thank you so much for your help. But I don’t need help in this case because I have the violin and nothing like this has happened. But the next time if something happens I’ll give you a call, ok?
Laugh
W: Evgeniy, we’ve written down you number just in case. And I wonder, when the strings were breaking up on the violin – did you do this on purpose?
A: It was not the strings it was a hair on the bow.
W: And it was made on purpose or not?
A: The hair is made on purpose, but I just don’t tear it up on purpose.
W: Because it was very tickling for all the viewers.
A: It’s great.
W: Oleg calls us and wants to ask a question.
M: Hello, Oleg.
Oleg: Hello to everybody. Alexander, I’m your new fan, and I was in Norway last year in the autumn. Blah-blah. I’ve heard there music of Grieg, A-Ha, Secret garden and I hope that you’ll give to the world the same interesting and beautiful melodies.
A: Thank you very much.
Oleg: I’d like to ask you do you use a traditional Norwegian music in your songs?
A: Yes, in some of them. But to be honest, the genre is not important so much to me. The most important is a beautiful melody.
Oleg: But I can hear it clearly.
A: Well, yes. I’d like to show Russian culture and Norwegian culture. Because my disk is all over Europe now. So, it’s very pleasant that you notice the Norwegian spirit in it.
W: Polina asks: “Can you say that you are completely happy now or is there something missing?”
A: I don’t even know what I can be missing now.
W: So, you are happy, right?
A: Yes. The only thing that I’m waiting for is when I’ll get a little bit older to not go around Europe anymore. I don’t say that I don’t like it, on the contrary, I like it very much, I enjoy this life very much.
W: But it’s exhausting.
A: Well, a little bit. But I have energy now. But in 3-4 years I’d like to work at home. To be a locksmith. (laughs)
W: Locksmith? And to write a musical at the same time as you have promised to the people.
M: Alexander Rybak is in our studio, we’ll be back after music and a commercial.
M: Dasha Shahtarova has written on the forum: “Sasha, have you watched the video from the group from vkontakte.com that they’ve given over to you?”
A: Of course, Dasha, I watched and liked it very much. And they always give me a lot of letters and such videos and I can honestly say that I watch everything and try to answer to everything and if I don’t answer it’s because…
M: There is not enough of time.
A: There is always enough of time. But maybe I just got lost or, maybe, lost a letter and then I get very sad because I like it but I can not find it again in the heap.
W: Sasha, judging by the questions that have been here today – they are the same all the time. Are you single, what kind of girl do you like, when are you going to have kids and so on and so on.
A: So, you can make it up by yourself.
W: Don’t you want to say – just leave me alone or not?
A: No. But they all will leave me alone right away as soon as I get a girlfriend.
Laugh
W: No, don’t count on it. Then there will be another war.
M: Not all, I can tell you by my own rich experience. Not everybody will leave you alone.
A: Well, let’s hope for that.
M: We have very little time left just to take one more call. There were men all the time who asked questions, lets give the opportunity to a woman. Lena is calling. Hello, Lena.
Lena: Good afternoon. I’d like to ask Alexander, does he have a feature of a character that he would like to correct somehow, that he does not like.
A: About myself?
Lena: Yes. And I also would like to say thank you from your fans from Facebook, they are listening to you live now. Those girls who were at your concert in Oslo thank you very much for that you liked their present – the book.
A: Of course, I liked it, of course.
Lena: And they hope that you will read it.
A: Well, I have read a half of it.
W: Aaah! Cool.
A: Well, I have many of not very good sides. I think a lot about result, so sometimes I need to insult people to get a good result.
M: Musicians and…?
A: Musicians or producers.
M: You fight with them?
A: Well, a little bit, yes. But you always have to fight at the backstage to not be angry when there is a public in there.
M: Are you a quick-tempered person?
A: Not quite. For example, when I can not sleep I often punch a wall with a fist.
M: It’s good that it’s not a producer.
A: Yes, exactly. And especially when there is a concert and something does not go the way it should then it’s always necessary not to show it to the public. So I always try to… The best, of course, is not to fight at all, but I have to. And then it’s at the backstage.
M: I see. As a matter of fact, intolerance of a bad work and of unprofessional people is a good feature too.
M: Thank you very much, Sasha, that you came to us.
A: Thank you. It’s very easy to talk to you.
M: Thank you and good luck in your career.
A: Thank you. The questions were very good, both from you and from the listeners.
M: We have very good listeners. We hope that in May of a future year we will see you in Eurovision 2010 that will be aired by the channel “Russia”.
W: Are you going to open it with your song?
A: Maybe yes.
W: I think rather so.
A: Or finish it.
M: It’s a tradition.
A: Well, yes.
M: And we hope that Norway will bring luck to the Russian performers.
A: Thank you very much.
W: Thank you so much for coming. Good luck.
A: Have a nice evening.

@ Grete: Thanks for the info about Baratt Due. I see , it is a big institute with a lot of level devellopement possibilities on music.
In the Netherlands we don't have such an institute.
When you like to make music you are going to musicschool. If you want to become a musician you can go ( if you are good) to the conservatory.

News bit from 28.10.2009 - Moscow

Translation provided by the Rybak group "Girls translating" (by Irena):

"Six months after the moment of the victory at ESC later, one can hardly recognize Alexander Rybak. The young man is famous, loved, popular and is wanted by everyone to such a degree that he became chronically tired. Rybak is wanted to be seen at two places simultaneously and he "Fairytales" is sang as a hello. Who did invite him to Moscow this time and what kind of girls he like, is the subject of interest of our reporter.

"After the vistory at ESC 2009, Rybak has rather more similarirty with a magic gold fish than with a fisher: he has been dragged around, tormented.

A: Hm, I must wake up now...
J: oh, poor boy

Wake up and sing! Alexander came to the anniversary of Alexandra Pachutyvaya, but he did not have the strength to say the name of the person in question.

A: I am performing at the anniversary ... of a ... wonderful composer ... so I... This is ... ah, I ...

And he sang the song of the event "Staryj klen" as if he was at a funeral.

A: (sings)
J: (whispers) ... and smile!!
A: (sings) ... aaand smiiiile!!

Sashka, Sashka - where is you smile full of game and fire? The love of his life, Ingrid, to whom he had dedicated the song "Fairytale" long time ago, has the role of a witch in his life.

A: She had sent me some sms; wanted us to perform as a duet. But I think that she wants me to became famous.

And in the internet, blogs by Moscow girls can be found which can to be his Euro-brides. [Then something something ... What?? What?? I think I need another coffee - I.B.]

A: I did invite girls for lunch ... so, there must be some among them who wrote on the internet about it. [ Tsk tsk - stupid girls. I.B.] ... most likely, they posted some lies.
J: So there was no more than lunch, dinner, coffee?
A: No. [riiiiiiight, sweetie! *a conspiratory smile towards Oslo]

J: What was the last book you read?
A: The last book? ... I do not read books, to be honest. I am very un-intellectual.
J: But you make up with honesty.

[No way! No you don't!! You did not just say this!!! ... Ok, my rommies: I am boiling!! Hide your breakable things ... NOW!!!! - I.B.]

The plot of "Culture People" TV program (Belarus, Minsk, 1st channel)

Translation provided by the Rybak group "Girls translating" (by Julia and Irena):

Alexander Rybak: "I don’t dream to get married!"

Finally! Alexander Rybak, the winner of ESC 2009, a Belarusian’s Norwegian or Norwegian’s Belarusian, as you prefer, arrived in Minsk with a solo program. Alexander is a frequent guest in Belarus last days, but until now his performances were consisted of his famous “Fairytale”, however, he isn’t afraid to become one-song-singer:

A. - Why? It’s enough! That's the biggest dream for all composers to write a hit ... But I have also ... Do you know that I’ve already had an album?

J. - Of course.

A. - So I certainly have other songs than “Fairytale”, but of course I’m also preparing for the next year now.

J. – Did something change after Eurovision? Is your popularity reduces?

A. - Well, it isn’t yet, but I know that soon it’ll be down, and ... this is good!

At the scene of the Minsk Palace of Sports Alexander proved that his talent isn’t limited to one good song. Artist performed for the Belarusian audience his album, which had been already become platinum in Russia.

A. - We have the first album - for the masses, the second album - also for the masses, the third album would be ... although it is scary, to talk about this, because now I’m only dreaming about it ... The third album, I would like it to be ... mmm ... jazz.

Since ESC Alexander Rybak hasn't change - still smiles sincerely and still captivates the audience with his imperfect Russian language.

A. – It’s a little bit better, but I still need to look up words all the time ... well here, for example, I don’t remember! A new word ...

Sasha continues to discover Minsk anew. And this trip to Minsk touched the singer to tears.

A. - I saw the Gorky Park again couple of hour ago, and I nearly cried because it’s been such a long time since I have seen this kind of ….view!

All ages are obeyed with love to Alexander Rybak: one can meet girls, women and even grandmothers at the singer’s concert, as well as his first teacher of piano who have bought the ticket too.

Elena Soboleva (cultural music teacher):
- Of course, when I first saw him today ... I saw this distance ... then he was a little boy and now ... is a grown-up, handsome young man!

But the press is still obsessed with Alexander Rybak’s privacy.

A. - I do dream of getting married ... but actually, I don't dream of it.

A. – The perfect woman? Hmmmm .... a little bit….. a little bit younger than me, a little bit smaller, and a little bit prettier, and ... well, actually it doesn’t matter.

A. – I’m Alexander Rybak, especially for "Cultural people”.

Alex's interview on MTV (Russia)

Translation provided by the Rybak group "Girls translating" (by Julia and Tanya):

Attention, girls! Alexander Rybak is looking for his second half! In his interview to News Block MTV the winner of Eurovision admitted that he isn’t dating anyone now. Only a musically gifted girl could become his girlfriend. She must be able to sing, dance and play the violin.
After winning the ESC 2009 Alexander Rybak’s life changed abruptly.

A. - I used to play for bread and water, and now ... now it’s interesting ... well, I can use a private jet, for example...

But the fame hasn’t brought the most important thing to Alexander’s private life - the happiness. The musician doesn’t have a girlfriend yet.

A. – I have no girlfriend now. Hope I will have soon. The best would be if she also were a musician, were playing the violin, singing, dancing ... (laughs)

Alexander says, he needs a simple and quite an ordinary girl, so his Russian fans have a great chance!

A. - She should be simple to be my girl, otherwise I would ... otherwise she would scare me.

Late November Alexander will tour around Russia. Besides Moscow Rybak promises to perform his show in St. Petersburg, Rostov, Samara and Yekaterinburg. Specially for this tour the singer learns to sing in Russian.

A. - I like to sing in Russian. I was afraid ... at the first concert in Ukraine… I was so afraid of … what if I suddenly ... what if I just don’t go well with the Russian language.

Alexander confessed that he supports his colleague Dima Bilan at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Alex thinks that Dima deserves to bring home the statuette of the best European performer from Berlin on November, 5.

A. - Dear friends, please vote for Dima Bilan, for his energy, for his songs, vote for him to become the best European artist.

A. – I’m Alexander Rybak and I'm watching the News Block on MTV with you!

Alex sings a duet with Swedish singer Lottta Engberg on her Christmas album, "Jul hos mig". ("Christmas with me” )

Lotta said (translation):" I and Alexander Rybak do a song called "Baby it's cold outside", where we sing to each other all the time. He is so charming that it is ridiculous."

Of historical and coincidental interest, Lotta performed in group Kikki, Bettan & Lotta. That’s right, she performed with Elisabeth Andreassen and they were together in both Swedish Mgp and Norwegian Mgp. It's a small world.
