Friends about Alexander:
- Absolutely surreal!
Last weekend , Alexander Rybak went straight into the hearts of the whole of Europe. We have talked with three, that are super close to the talent.

Through family Stanghelle, Alexander Rybak has been a fast summer guest in Spind. Here he wrote songs, here he was in love and here he had some of his first concerts. We have gone through our archives, and now gives you some insight from local memories of Grand Prix winner from the first concert in Espeland school in July 1996.
- Alexander charmed everybody with fiddle and was the public's favorite , Farsunds Newspaper wrote about the concert in 1996.
And last weekend, also all Europe experienced the talent that we've enjoyed for many years.
We talked to three people who are close to Alexander Rybak.

Thomas Stanghelle
- It's surreal to witness and experience this when we have worked together, since he was five years, "says Thomas Stanghelle.
He and the rest of the family quickly came in contact with the Rybak family at Nesodden. It developed into a friendship and musical collaboration.
- It's strange, but also fun, to see how he is in a short period of time has had his life, turned on its head because of Melodi Grand Prix. We see it for ourselves, for people come over to us to congratulate, "he said.
Alexander Rybak played "Fairytale" for Thomas already before Christmas.
- I said that, this is going to win it all. I thought he would win all the time, and think it was strange that so many were in doubt in advance, "says Stanghelle, who watched, the final on TV at home in Kristiansand.
Spind is a creative base for both Stanghelle and Rybak, and it was also in Spind, Alexander had feelings for the girl which resulted in the song "Fairytale." In July Stanghelle will have a concert with Alexander Rybak in Kristiansand Cathedral.
- There are also several cooperation jobs to come, and maybe some concerts in Farsund / Lyngdal district. I hope he gets it squeezed in, if not this year, then at least next year, says Stanghelle and adds:

Torgny Farbrot:
Through a series of summer concerts, has formed the doctors acquaintance with Alexander Rybak.
- The first time I saw him was during the concert in Espeland school in 1996, says Farbrot who sat stuck to the TV screen last Saturday.
- I was sure he would win, but one can never know. Victory in Moscow was just as devastating as in the finals, "said Farbrot.
He complements parents Igor and Natasha and family Stanghelle that has meant much for Alexander Rybaks career.
- He is a unique musician, a top violinist with strong musical ancestry. He has also had an incredible support from parents and the Stanghelle family, says Farbrot.
He has even had the pleasure to be on the same stage with Rybak and have always had great faith in violin hero.
- It is amazing that he can manage to combine the classic, with what goes right home in the hearts of the whole of Europe. I have always believed that he could get as far as he wanted, "says Farbrot.

Turid Stanghelle
Turid Stanghelle originally from Lyngdal, Rybak has known the family since they came to Norway. Over the years they have developed a warm and close friendship, and they have had a number of concerts together.
- We discovered him first, and I find it odd that no one else has discovered him before, laughing Turid Stanghelle.
She remembers well the first few times Alexander stood on the stage, including during Lillesand-days.
- He was so wonderful when he was there. We announced that the little boy should get to play the violin, and people expected only well that he should take the scale. Instead he went to pieces with up to ten minutes without notes. People were paralyzed, "she says.
During finals last weekend, she and the family was on a long planned family-trip in Utah, USA.
- We watched the finals on a very slow internet with crooked picture. Unlike many others, we had great pleasure to listen to Synnøve Svabø, for she said what we had not seen. We cried, laughed, applauded and cheered in champaign when he won, "she says.
She is not surprised that Alexander went to the top of the Eurovision Song Contest.
- He is special with a unique personality. You hear it in the way he answers reporters. The answers are both witty and intelligent. He is skilled at the violin and can express himself well in song. In addition, he has lots of charm and all the other needed, "she says.
The future will be a series of concerts for Turid Stanghelle, among other things, with son Thomas and her mother Mathilde Marker. In addition, the concert with, among others, Alexander Rybak in Kristiansand 29. July.
- We have held many concerts in many countries, and has a very long musical history together. Natasja Rybak and I meet daily, and we feel like a big family. One gets very carried away and happy, that he got points from all countries. It's crazy, "she says.

Alexander Rybak
Born in Minsk, Belarus in 1986. Moved to Nesodden as four.
Parents Igor and Natasha were quickly acquainted with the family Stanghelle and had an extensive musical collaboration.
Turid Stanghelle is from Lyngdal, and have family cabin in Spind. Both family Stanghelle and Rybak has spent a number of falls in the cabin and held a series of concerts at Grendehus and churches in our district.
Alexander Rybak (23) punched through with a win in NRKs Kjempesjansen in 2006
and put the country upside down with the best-sovereign Grand Prix win in February.

Last Saturday he won the Eurovision Song Contest with the clearest win and virtually toppoints from the east, south, west and north.

Said about Rybak:
- He is very charming. I'd like him in one of my musicals.
