On the night after SchlagerPride spread rumors at the Civic Square: "Alexander Rybak is at McDonalds." Young people in the street peering through the windows - and there sat indeed the Norwegian, wearing a simple orange T-shirt. Alexander himself was the resurrection of peace. "When it's so late at night, McDonalds is better kebabs", said the violinist when he met us exclusively after the gig and was able to talk about his night.

Alexander Rybak had a busy evening in Stockholm on Thursday. After having been the culmination of Pride Festival schlager evening while pouring rain broke out, he went on to a hotel at the Civic Square for a secret gig with Thomas Ledin. Golden boots got an exclusive interview with the glowing-hot Norwegian at the checkout counter at McDonalds, where Alexander unwind after two gigs.

The secret Ledin gig was for an accompanying television production and had been planned for two weeks, "says Alexander. But the actual content of the show - "Fairytale" and Ledin "Part of my heart" - was quickly planned.
- I was so afraid to destroy his songs, but it went well. And he even did Fairytale too, "says Alexander.
- I am very privileged to have been singing along with artists like Carola and Bettan, and now Thomas Ledin. I have really been well received.

When Alexander went out as the last in a long line of artists on Pride night he was dressed in a sailor suit with the words "Marine" on his cap. The gesture towards the gayaudience was well thought out.

- I thought you should make it fully if you make a Pride event. At first we thought about dressing as fire fighters or police officers, but we thought it had become too much kitch, "says Alexander.

- If you are competing for Eurovision, you hope that the song will be highly appreciated by the gayaudience, for it is those who are watching Eurovision for the most part.
A tactic that failed,
It was the warm reception given to him by the gayaudience which meant that Alexander felt that he wanted to do something special with the concert on Thursday evening.

- We wanted to thank them a little extra and show that we prepared ourselves, that it was not only an ordinary concert. But it is never, I always try to find what it is that is special about the place where you are.

On schlager evening it was easy to figure out what was special, "says Alexander. But afterwards, he felt, however, that tactic failed, regarding the sailor outfit.

- We thought that we would stand out, being smart and dressed up. But everybody had done so. We were the most normal! Alexander laughs.
