Here lives Alexander Rybak at 20 squaremeters.
The song "Fairy Tales" has made Alexander Rybak, 23, a millionaire. Yet he chooses to live with Karin Madsen, 71, in a room of 20 square meters.
- He likes the peace and quiet here with me, "says Karin Madsen to the Norwegian Dagbladet.
Alexander Rybak enthralled Europe with his violin playing in the Eurovision Song Contest last spring. Just record sales of his album "Fairy Tales" over the summer has earned him more than six million(krona).
Lives at 20 squaremeters
Yet the Norwegian star chooses to stay in the boys' room, where he has lived the last three years. The room is located upstairs in a house in Oslo and is 20 square meters. His landlady called Karin Madsen, is 71 years old and do not think the eurovisionwinner winner is about to move out.
- No, I do not think that. He likes the peace and quiet here with me, "says Karin to Norwegian Dagbladet.
And she is happy with her tenant, even if she has to empty the mailbox for fan mail daily.
View over the Oslofjord
From the room, he has a view over the area where his parents live and he can walk around and play the violin as he wants in the old house. The house also has a piano, where Rybak spent many hours when composing his eurovision hit. And according to Karin was the piano with the view over the Oslo Fjord, which had Rybak to feel at home.
Rybak that suddenly has become one of Norway's biggest celebrities and making millions from his music has not changed life in the house significantly.
- The only difference is that he has asked to pay a bit more in rent, "says Karin Madsen to Dagbladet
