Journalist: Before Alexander Rybak came to Ukraine the Ukrainian newspapers have spread out the rumors that the singer has declined an invitation to the Oprah Winfry’s talk-show only because he wanted to go on tour over Ukraine. But those rumors were too much exaggerated.

Alex: I don’t know was it Ukraine or not but I refused it because I was busy that day. And I have the rule that when I make a deal then I have to keep faith. And in addition to that when they take me so good in Norway, Sweden, Ukraine Russia, Belarus then it would be not polite to say “I want more…”

Journalist: It’s not a secret that Sasha is familiar with certain representatives of the national show- business. But he’s not in hurry to invite them to his concerts.

Alex: I think that they are such professional artists – especially in Ukraine – that I’m just afraid that I would not be so interesting in comparison with them. Now there will be my first concert and I have been practicing Russian (language) for many weeks to let people understand at least something of what I speak about. And in addition, I have a lot of music that I want to show to the people and on the first round I want to do it by myself. But the next time I’ll come, I don’t know, maybe I can sing a duet with Any Lorak.

Journalist: At nowadays the singer realizes that his project is commercial one. And therefore he reacts with a complete calm to the critic’s predictions that the Alexander Rybak’s brand will have a short-life.

Alex: I think that in many counties - yes – the interest in me will get less and less. But in Norway - I’m not afraid that I’ll go out some day. But anyway I don’t want to be a huge star in 3 years. I want to be a composer, to live a quiet life.
