Alexander meets Yulya Nelson, a singer who is singing before him at his concerts in Ukraine.

Alex: Hello, Yulya.
Yulya: Hi. You look seemingly tired.
Alex: No.
Yulya: Is it OK?
Alex: I have been answering questions all the way.

Alex: Well. Am I going the right way?

Alex: We have three violins with us.
Jouralist: And that one you have called an expert for?
A: It’s in a hotel.
J: Yeah?
A: Now we have the violin for a stage.

J: Songs ”Ja sprosil u jasenja” and “Komarovo”?
Alex: Yes. I like both songs very much. They both are from films… I think. (actually only the first one is from film, the second one is just old pop-song from 80-ies) I’ve heard “Komarovo” for the first time in “Nu pogodi” (old soviet cartoon).
J: Are you going to perform today…
A: Of course.
J: …more of Russian songs?
A: Ah! You mean new ones. No, we have a program.
J: Yesterday you probably didn’t count on that you would sing Fairytale so many times…
A: Why? I sang Fairytale only once and that was it.
J: No, several times.
A: I sang “Roll with the wind” two times.
J: Oh, I see. Did you sing Fairytale in Russian yesterday?
A: No.
J: Why not?
A: Because I haven’t learnt the text completely yet. And something went wrong with the sound and then I suddenly forgot everything and then it was better to sing it in English. But all the public knew English text and therefore I want to sing it today in English again.
J: How is the Ukrainian public to you?
A: Awesome. (thumbs up) Very good.
J: Is it special one?
A: Yes. And it’s so new to me that everybody gives presents because in Norway it’s usual that they clap, stand, dance, sit and then after the concert they give presents. So, I was not quite… Only in a half of hour I understood that I had to collect flowers and presents all the time. It was very pleasant.
J: Do you like it when a public sing along with you, dance along?
A: Of course, yeah, the more life the better.
J: Tell, please, what do you do with all the presents? Because they are many. How are you going to take them away from Ukraine with you?
A: Well, flowers, unfortunately, will how to say this…
J: Fade
A: Yes, fade. And all the toys, letters, of course, I read them and take them with me.
J: (a cut out question about Yulya Nelson)
A: She’s a very-very good artist and singer. She’s the right one. I’m very glad that she’s singing before me.
J: Are there any relationships starting between you or was it just a PR?
A: (laughing) Not yet.
