Reporter: Alexander Rybak is 19 years old, born in Russia, but came to Norway with his parents 15 years ago. In three months he is going back, to one of the most prestigious stages in St. Petersburg. As first violinist and concertmaster in the symphony orchestra Young Symphony. An orchestra made up of more than 70 young people from almost every corner of the country, based in Bergen. Here Alexander is teamed up with the artistic force in the orchestra, conductor Kjell Sein.

Reporter: What has he proposed now then?

Kjell Sein: No...If he could go up an octave on the one solo part he has.

Reporter: And he is allowed to do that?

Kjell Sein: Yes, he is allowed to do that. And when its a good...

Alex: I think that was...

Kjell Sein: Hehehe. Yes. And when you have a good musical argument its ok.

Alex: I am so happy when Kjell agrees with me.

Kjell Sein: It has to be justified.

Reporter: So he is not making proposals to make it easier for himself?

Kjell Sein: No, absolutely not, its harder.
