Journalist: Although Alexander Rybak was in Vitebsk not for long he had time not only to rehearse but also to communicate with journalists on the press-conference "Star hour".

Alex: In 4-5 years I won’t be such an idol for little children anymore. So it would be interesting just… and especially if I’ll find a wife, who knows… Then of course it will be difficult to have a wife and still to go on tours. So it would be good to be a composer then. Maybe to write music for films.

Journalist: Press-conference with Alexander Rybak is great but tête-à-tête communication is much better.

Alex: I’m norwegian from Belarus.
When I see that people like my victory – and here in Belarus too – then I feel a relief.
Everything is gratis, gratis, gratis – this is very strange. People pay me for doing what I enjoy.

Journalist: It looks like a “star fever” does not threaten him. And pluses and minuses of popularity he has figured out long ago.

Alex: If I think that elderly woman is nice and I want to give her a hug… But I could not do this before because I would just startle her. And now it’s contrariwise – now everybody are glad if I give them a hug.
From the other side the negative thing (of popularity) is that if I quarrel with somebody then on the next day it will be in all newspapers.

Journalist: Although Alexander speaks russian well he thinks that some words are weird.

Alex: Zemlyanika (wild strawberry) is a very strange word.
Zemlyaki (fellow countryman). I have always been thinking that it’s a mushrooms. Like - I will go to a forest to gather zemlyaki.
My russian language is so imperfect that I can start to make up my own words.

Journalist: In the end Alexander has told about his impression of communication with the press.

Alex: Today I have heard a lot of interesting things. That I was supposed to sing a duet with this one and that one with him and with her…
If somebody sees me communicating with a girl then they start it right away – oh, maybe this is the new one? I don’t have anyone.
