Chief of the Viking Festival
The concert with Alexander Rybak and Frikar went nicely. When he came out afterwards, however, there were hysterical touch to Egge.

Popular: It must be a long time since anyone has received so much attention, and had as many autograph hunters on the neck, as Alexander Rybak had at Egge last night. A Mgp-winner in brilliant mood, Frikar-dancers with amazing acrobatics and talented musicians providing a great opening for this year's Viking Festival. Saturday he comes back.

It was an Alexander Rybak in the joking corner who arrived on the scene of the Viking festival opening concert last night. He played and sang, and took his time to joke about vikings between songs.

A small "woops" came out when he, in an attempt to flirt with the audience said that he will hire singers from Trondheim next time.
- Eh, or Steinkjer then, he said after thinking a bit . And got saved very quickly on the charm.

An approximate 50 minutes long concert, seemed to fulfill the expectations of the audience. Here was "Roll with the wind," "Dolphin," "Funny Little World" and "If you were gone" (English version of Vårsøg), where he made h the audience join on backing vocals.

It didn´t take completely off at Egge. Not until the last song, which of course was "Fairytale." That woke up the 1,700 spectators of all ages to life. They were celebrating, clapping and singing. The rest of the time you have to strictly say that the audience had met up to stare, almost a little apathic, take photos and film with mobile phones. So it went from laid back to the Beatles-hysterical states - In any case, so close you can come in a small historic lawn at Egge.

When Rybak and Frikar left the stage, the hunt started. The quest for autograph, pictures and a hug. Children flocked at the stage edge and the beginning of the lawn. When Rybak minutes after the concert came out, it took not many seconds before he was completely surrounded. An adult woman was run down by the children, and it was almost that you pushed and bit each other to get a bite of the favorite. Then he went to Belarus. But he will come back Saturday.

Viking festival experienced undoubtedly the most popular concert so far in its hisstory last night.
The main character even fell completely for Egge and the festival area.

- This was really special. It is beautiful here, and I've seen lots of people in Viking clothing. Actually, it reminds a bit about Tusenfryd, many does that there, too. This day I will live on for long, smiles Alexander Rybak,

He took early yesterday afternoon, time to write autographs and get taken pictures with a number of young fans before sound-test. Among them were many actors from "Silkeskjegg", and Rybak decided as well to see the play. He appeared discrete, and sat down on the back row, but it was still a steady stream of autograph hunters around his bench.

- It was a great show! But you feel that you often "steal" attention when you show up like that. If there is a backside of this medal, it must be precisely that kind of thing. I can better show up and search for attention like that, when people have begun to forget me, spoke Rybak.

Saturday he comes back to Egge to attend the evening ceremonies, but it is still unclear what he will do.

- We have not planned this quite yet. We have looked at the area today, and tried to find out what is most optimally afterwards. It is in any case without the band, so I must come up with something more solo on stage Saturday.

At bit of " trøndersk" music culture, he also has inside the system.
- I like D.D.E., especially "Rai rai." It is one of my favorite songs in Norwegian. I also have a sense for the Trondheimsolists. They are really something!, "Says Rybak.
