Here I made a quick translation by myself:
"YES-stars" magazine, November 2009
Rybak's day.
Sasha Rybak is known to all of us as the winner of "Eurovision-2009". For many viewers an ordinary guy became a worldwide star just in a moment. Immediately after this event he was attacked by fans and journalists, and Sasha had to escape briefly from all to Norway. We managed to spend a couple of days together with Rybak and to get him to tell you in what he is engaged in now:
- Recently I received a call from Arkady Ukupnik, he asked me to listen his new song. He wanted me to sing this song. I listened to a demo track and I really liked the melody, soI agreed to come to Moscow.
- When we recorded the song in the studio, I was told that it would become the soundtrack to the film "Black Lightning", filmed by Timur Bekmambetov, and we can make a video for this song if I’d like to do it. I was very flattered that I had the opportunity to participate in this project.
- I had only half a day for shooting the video! And after that I had to fly to the United States.
- I briefly watched the film before we start shooting, and I finally understood why the soundtrack producers chose me. We are very similar with the main character, both ordinary guys who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
- Everyone thinks that Sasha Rybak is a nice guy, but I’m not quite so. In fact, I have a dream to play a villain someday.
- The shooting was in the pavilion. Firstly they set on-site decoration, which imitating the high-rise roof, and then the film crew rolled on the "roof" real "Volga" car, supposedly it was arrived there.
- Stylists put me in a long black coat, so I looked more serious, and tried to make something serious out of my non-serious hair.
- All around us was strewn with artificial snow, it’s very pleasant to touch, but the main thing was that it’s not cold.
- Director of special effects explained to me in great detail how to turn my head, how to hold a violin ... After all, this person then had to "draw the picture".
- After seeing the final result of our work - the finished video clip, I was very surprised and delighted. It turned out simply amazing video, I really did not expect that it will be released so cool.
- After shooting, I organized a big press conference and told what I’ve been doing after the Eurovision: firstly I was resting, sitting at home with my mother .... I walked with my friends, played the playstation. And then I worked on the album and soundtrack.
Competition:
Guess what a superhero liked Sasha Rybak in his childhood (hint: this guy is on p.18). Please reply to the editor and, perhaps, a CD with Rybak’s autograph will yours.

Making myself invisible and sneak in to this thread :) Haven't been here for a long time, I alway just post news and other stuff direct on the wall. After checking it has not already been posted there. But now I have translated one part of Alexander's interview at Redaksjon en. This was translated earlier, but suddenly the video has blown away somehow. If I translate small stuff people asks about, i do it under comments. I did the same here, under Mariannes link, but it will be gone by tomorrow, so I put it here too:
Marianne, I tried to translate part one.. It is easier to translate from a sheet, than a video. Bear with me, I started doing word by word, but where he talked a lot, I did not translate every single word..
After the victory in Eurovision the career of Alexander Rybak has taken off completely.
-And AR, welcome here
-Thank you, it’s very nice
-It is three weeks ago you won ESC, and a lot of people now want a piece of you. How is that?
-Well, that should absolutely be possible
-Do you have time for all?
-Yes yes, it is a privilege to be a joy spreader because I was always a joy killer at school, and now I try to make up for that.
-So now you are a joy spreader?
-Yes
-What does this attention do with you as a person?
-Luckily the attention has gradually come over the years, and during those years I have really decided what kind of person I am. Because it is much easier to get the story out when you know what the story is about. As I said, I only want to be an artist in all this, not to be asked political questions. I have more than enough meanings about music I will tell to Norway.
-You said you have decided who you are?
-Yes
-Who are you then?
-I have one big idol, a fictive person. David Palmer in “24”, he is president and has a lot of advisors, some wanting him good and some wanting him bad. And he collects all the advice, and based on that finds out what to do. I want to work like that, I have spent too much time to make other be creative on my behalf.
It is only one person who can be creative on my behalf and that is Per Sundnes. He is the only one who understands me. He got me in connection with the world’s best management, he came with the idea how Frikar should dance and so on.
Otherwise, I always had to quarrel in this business, too many people think traditional. Also at concerts with Barratt-Due I had to fight for my ideas, and the same with Kjempesjansen. “Do not sing your own song, sing a song people know” and everybody said I should not use a big orchestra because not many like that, but I wanted to do it. The tradition has worked against me, and I did not want to listen. And in Kjempesjansen I won with a new song and big orchestra. The same with ESC, all people were telling me what I could do and not do. But I had a plan.
-And you won Eurovision. You feel you have to fight for your ideas?
-Yes all the time. People want me well, but do not trust me. I am only 23 years.
No, also at Vg-lista Rådhusplassen, a lot of clever people are working with the big show and already have made plans. I should wish they asked me first. I want to play Springleik instead of Funny little world, because this would be better in a place like that, where the audience want action. But they have decided what they want, and I have to try to convince them. (Did not work, as we know….)
-Don’t you think they trust you now?
-No, I have to fight all the time. People are so filled with traditions. Maybe when I am 60 years they will start to trust me.
-We will continue with this, but first we take a look at your musical life.
-Thank you
-Wow!
-Do you like the attention?
-Yes I like it, if it is attention about something good I have done. But I like to connect with people and I always get stressed if I am going to a place where… Like Gardermoen, I really did not know so many would come. I hope it came just enough people so I could great every one. I love to meet everybody and if people drive to see me they should have that possibility. But the first thing I thought at Garermoen was, how many small children will be hurt today? I was really scared. And mammy picks up all the mails from mothers with children who got an elbow in their face and so on. It was so crowded, and now I write autographs in a hurry, to everybody who got disappointed at Gardermoen. But I write autographs to all who writes letters to me.
When I am here I see Anita Andersson has problem to watch from Idrettsgalla. I put a link on the wall on Saturday when the program was finished and the show came with the web-link nummer. I see the other link has a different url and is all black for me too, but after digging down on the wall, I found it and it still works: http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/klipp/593674 Look from 01:40:20. Now it is also on youtube, but shorter.
One other thing, I have tried during the weekend to listen to the radio program I heard was about Alex. They have still not posted from 8th of January, but they posted todays program many hours ago... They have just jumped over 8th of January .. Strange.

@ Vigdis and Marianne and everybody it may concern. About Redaksjon interview.
I have the video and also the English translation of it that was made by the first uploader of this video in June. I have not uploaded it on youtube just because of some doubts - if there are any people who are interested in watching it. Because the Scandinavians and the Russians are satisfied with the version that is on youtube already - in Norwegian with the Russian subtitles.
Let me know what you think - if there are people who are interested in watching this interview with English subtitles.
And one more little doubt - the accounts of the both previous uploaders of this interview on youtube were deleted. Maybe I'm just paranoic but NRK also does not have it on its site though they still keep a lot of much older videos than this interview. Maybe it's just a coincidence.

Olina, YES, I would love to have it with english subtitles and I think, I am not alone. Though I understand norwegian, there are some words I miss and I think, this is the best interview, he made so far, with a good journalist. It deserves english subs.
I think, its coinsidence..the deleting.
Also, the short interview from Russia, where Alex wears blue-white-striped t-shirt and he trys the joke about only knowing one song, and the blond interviewer says: The one about rabbits? And he says: You know that one. Then I can´t use it.
I think, this one, with english subs has disappeared too...its too bad.

JJ: "Listen to me!" JJ is aimed at Alexander - How is it natural for you to say this?
AR. I would say it like this ---- Listen to me!
JJ: That's nice. I think it'll be fine. Let's try it.
AR. I'm not quite sure of the start.
JJ: Try to pull it out. It does not matter whether there will be some small errors. I love it when there are small nuances. We'll try again. There you go!
AR: Listen to me, give me a chance to explain. I stop talking. Just let me show you, please.
JJ: Now we're on the right track. Actually you do not have speak so loud, put the level down a bit, as we did last time.
The interview begins:
R:
What were you thinking when you got the offer to be the Norwegian voice?
AR:
It was very fun, and it is a very cool job for a musician. First and foremost, because I know that there are different techniques for people who dubbs, and there are many who go by the text, but I like to follow the screen, and see and hear the synchronization, and then I just repeat the same in Norwegian. It is a musical task, you hear the way they say it like da da da dada da da and da dada, "apple pie sweet". It's the same technique we used when I was 7 years old, so it is a repetition of that.
And it's a little bit funny that I look like Hiccups, just look at this (and pointing at the poster). I look little bit like him. He has the same cow-eyes and a little long fussy hair.
R: Does he look like you in other ways too?
AR:
I do not know. But I think that when you add a voice to a person, then you adds a part of yourselves to that person too. So now that he have my voice, he resembles a bit of me in a way too. But it certainly was the intention, as I was asked for the job.
I am very grateful. It feels like a right thing to do now, so I can only hope I get more such offers.

Translation of the interwiev in the news in NRK
http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/indeks/197479
R: So far, the fiddle of Alexander Rybak has been best known. But now it
might be the voice.
Probably, for Rybak is ready for his first film role as the voice of Hiccups in the movie How to train a Dragon, and it is no less than the prestigious DreamWorks in Hollywood, which has given him the assignment.
JJ: There you go!
AR: Listen to me, and give me a chance to explain. I stop talking. Just let me
show you, please!
R.:
Alexander Rybak is a dragontrainer, at least in the film. He has been cast as the slightly anxious Viking boy Hiccup. Actually, Hiccups also should kill dragons that threaten the village, but he ends up taming them instead.
AR: See, I look a little bit like him.
R:
whether it was the appearance or 1st place in the ESC that secured him the role is uncertain, but he thinks it is exciting to be an actor.
AR: It is very nice, because I do not have to act too much. It is very ok.
Now I just hope I met the expectations.
R: But he has no reason to worry. DreamWorks is so pleased that they have
given him the job to dub the movie also in Russian.
AR: dragon is draqua in Russian, and trainer is? Now you see how "good" my
russian is.
R: And how he manages himself as a dragontrainer, you can see at the cinema, 26th of March.

Thank you Tessa! I was starting with the one from nrk, but Marianne said she thought you would translate :) But I found something else perhaps not everybody have heard? It is old though...
Journalist Hanne Hoftun (R) interviews Natasha and Igor Rybak on the radio, the day after Alexander’s semi-final in Moscow.
R--Natasha, you are sitting here wearing a small cardigan with...
N--Yes, with picture of Alexander an the name of his song
R--On two small buttons
N--Yes, absolutely very small but very visible on the black background
R--How does it feel to wear buttons of your own son?
N--That is in fact… Since you are asking, I think it is a little strange. But I did not think about it, it was quite naturally to wear it. It was almost… It is something you do not think about, you are just very happy about it.
R--Igor, you were on the first semi-final on Thursday. Can you describe the feeling of sitting in the audience, in the minutes before Alexander came on the stage, and watch all what was going on?
I--That was in a way nicer in Spektrum in Norway. It felt like home, since we are from Soviet, earlier Soviet. But nevertheless, it is so big, enormous arena, enormous stage, and when Alexander came it was like a scump (?), it went so fast, we waved and screamed with Norwegian flags. And focused only on Alexander, we did not see the stage and background, we only saw Alexander. And Frikar of course, and the girls in the choir.
R--Do you think about him more like a star on a stage then, which actually shall do something?
I--Yes in that moment I saw him like a Norwegian representative who should do something, not so much as my son. I was thinking more global.
R--But Natasha, you were quite nervous
N--I was very nervous, and when the voting was going on, I was almost close to fainting.
R--You left the country we are in now. Igor came to Norway in 1990, and you followed later Natasha. How is it now, to return to the country you once left, and see your son almost being a superstar.
N--I think it is less than expected, to think about Russia as the country where Alex will be a big star. I don’t know, we have lived in Norway in quite many years, so the feeling of leaving this country is not so strong now, I think. Maybe because of the big changes in this country. We do not recognize it, it is very little left of what we remember from earlier.
R--The nerves were tense when he was on stage Thursday. How will it be when he is on stage in the final?
N--It will be difficult to imagine.
R--Now you have been through it once
N--Yes and I really know it will not be any easier… I will try to send the positive energies I have left. Not the worries or my nerves, nothing of what I am thinking about. I will try to control myself, and only send the positive
R--Do you get an urge, as a mother, to pick on him, to adjust his clothes and hair and thing like that?
N--No, not at all. And that is very strange, because when I watch him, I see that he is very clear about what he wants. How it shall appear and what he shall be considering.. To come forward to him, I think will only be distracting.
R--You are musicians too, have you given him some advice?
I--Yes of course, some times telling Alexander that he must be himself, and be free, like he was when performing in Norway. Do it the same way as he did before, he must not be tense. But that is just nice, he knows best himself.
R--I have to wish you good luck with Alexander on stage.
N--Thank you very much, we need that.
