Rybak got some recordings, and was pleased with what he heard. Friday, they were singing "Baby, it's cold outside". In addition Lisa was singing "Have yourself a merry little Christmas".
- I have experienced more than enough success and have the wish to lift forth other artists. I enjoy acting manager a little, Rybak says to HA.

Friday's concert was a blessed mix of his own music, American Christmas music and Norwegian Christmas classics. "Fairytale" was also part of the concert, of course. "Swinging home for Christmas" is the name of the tour. And that is exactly what he has done this year - come home for Christmas.

Even if the mix of Christmas music and self-composed music seemed a little weird, it was a nice night at Scandic. The big band was really swinging, and the artist himself has an interesting way to treat his violin. When he and his three co-violinists was playing on eachother strings, it got really funny.
There were lots of space for humour. Alexander Rybak is a funny guy, who tells us about two-packs of cheap boxers and Belarussian Christmas traditions. In Belarus, the Christmas preparations are extremely busy, according to the artist.
- Where I come from, we are very busy before Christmas. We are stealing Christmas presents and we have a lot of candles. It isn't really Christmas until a curtain catches fire, he joked.
And even if this wasn't the first time Rybak told his jokes, people were laughing friendly. The hall takes 1000 people, but less than 250 was there. It seemed scarce, but the artist didn't bother. He was entertaining as if it was a fullseated Oslo Spektrum.

Rybak's Christmas tour is of the commercial kind. At the entrance there was a table with t-shirts, posters and CD's. After the show Rybak was signing autographs. Peter and Caspar, both 6, wanted an autograph. They were both wearing new t-shirts.

- I think "Fairytale" is cool and this is the finest t-shirt I've got, says Caspar and straightens, so Rybak is getting more visible on his chest. - I'll ask if I can join his next band, said Peter before he got his autograph. - My teacher is named Frode and he plays in a rock band, and so will I.

Thursday and friday this week he played in Frimurerlogen with a big band and his show "Swinging home for Christmas". Rybak himself was the producer and the musical director. He has also arranged lots of the old,American Christmas-songs in his own style.

Even if the songs for next years MGP are not yet released,he knows that "Sie Gubba" is among the contestants. But he don`t know who Carina Dahl from Trondheim is.

-If you are a well-known name,doesn`t matter in this contest. That`s exactly what Per Sundnes wants. It`s the good melody that should be the main thing,not the artist.
