What do you think about that Alexander now ends as a singer, to keep on as a classical composer?
If that is what he wants, I am happy on his behalf. I can not say what is most important to him, but if he manages to spread joy in that way, it is awesome. We have never placed any constraints on what to pursue on. In our home we have always played a lot of music of all kinds, not just classical, he says.

All these stories today is from the paper issue of Se & Hør from today. They have a little picture and "Rybak stops as a pop star" and "Daddy is worried" on the front page and 4 pages about him inside. And many pictures; with his parents, alone, after the victory in Moscow, with Didrik, with Carola and with fans.

The headline is that he is burned out and 2010 will be his last year as a pop artist. They refer to his facebook announcement last Thursday and that not all fairytales have a happy ending. The pressure from all sides have been too much.. Even if his manager Kathrine assure that everything is fine with him, they have "true" information about Alexander being totally burned out, exhausted and overworked.

They say they know that Alexander feels he is taken advantage of, from everybody. He has been angry and frustrated about the lact of empaty for his well-being from some people in the music industry. They say those people have pressured him to the edge and that he is about to fall apart completely. The happpy and outgoing guy has become really depressed. But it is not visible when he is on stage performing because he is very professional.

They also show his crazy program for last year, and state it has been very hard, and a program most people would not manage. This hard program has made Alexander feel he has lost his identity, and they say they know 2010 will be Alexander last year as a pop artist. He will retire and work as a composer, accorden to "true" sources.

They also refer to the big portrait interview Alexander gave them before Christmas where he told them about he nearly fainted on stage and many other things, as we remember. So they perhaps feel they can write this story based on that, his facebook announcement and "true" sources. They have not managed to get comments from Alexander on the story..

They have talked with his father, and he is worried. Igor tells that they have raised Alexander to love all kinds of people. That he shall treat everyone with the same respect. He wants to please everybody, but it can be difficult in his business. They have raised him to not bother other people with his worries. And Igor think it is better for him to hit the walls than to take his anger out on people around him, because the closest people for him is the most important in his life. Therefore he will treat them nicely even if he gets frustrated.

Igor is proud of his son, but worried about the last messages. He says Alexander has got enormous attention, and many people want to take advantage of him, and earn money on him. But he trust his son, and believes he will sort out his problems himself. Even if he has become a big celebrity, he is the same person for his parents. He is a wise boy, and does not use alcohol and narcotics.

He does not give Alexander any advice, because he thinks Alexander knows himself what is best for him. His hole life he has sorted out in his problems himself. (!) But they have raised him to love the world, and if he makes people happy they have done a good job with him. He thinks everything will work out for his son. If Alexander now wants to stop as a pop artist and start composing classical music, he is happy for him. He does not know what is most important for Alexander, but if he can spread joy that way, he thinks it is very good. They have never made ane pressure on him about what he should go for. In their home they have always played much music of all genre, and not only classical.
