Stefan: "Quite. Quite. Quite. Very quite! (*something I don't understand*). So that we don't disturb. Very quite. We have to be very quite so that nobody will see us"

Stefan Raab: "Oh, not them again! It's you again!"

Stefan: "Haha, I see!! There's ... There's something going on between you!"
Lena: "Sure! When I'll come home later he really wants to have the food already on the table!"
Stefan: "Sure. After all he is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest!"

Stefan: "Mr. Rybak takes care!! He knows exactly how it worked last year!"

Stefan: "It's enough for the 3rd place!"

It's pretty obvious this article is complete rubbish but surely they shouldn't be allowed to put such statements on the internet? Most countries have strict laws against slander/libel etc. Maybe AR should sue?

Last part of the portret in Magasinet in Dagbladet 29.5.2010

And now: A little about war and peace, and politics and stuff. "Rybak get yelled at by Amnesty," said Dagbladet for exactly one year ago today. It was just known that the recent Grand Prix winner had agreed to join a TV show in Belarus, where President Alexander Lukashenko was present. “Untuned” Dagbladet wrote in the newspapers editorial, and emphasized that Lukashenko is described by both the EU and the USA as Europe's last dictator. Why did Rybak do it?
I was invited. Lukashenko was a nice guy.
But he referred to as Europe's last dictator?
He shrugs his shoulders.
People like words. Dictator. Diva. There are few who know that he actually helped the Belarusian people, and everybody have wealth. And those who do not have wealth, will be offered jobs as garbage collectors. Or they are banished to live in the country. And then the state does not have as much responsibility for them. All are offered rehab if they are drug addicts, for example.
Eh ... You are not particularly interested in politics?
No, says Rybak clarely.
The criticism obviously did not further impress Rybak. In October, he posted a picture of himself and Lukashenko, arm in arm, on his Facebook page. Under the photo it said: "Because of him, Minsk is the cleanest and most beautiful city in Europe. Come visit! Alex "
Didn’t you understand that there would be reactions?
Yes, he says pleased. It was either that or it would be writing about that I did not have so many people on my Russian concerts. Then I instead chose to post a picture of me and the president.
To divert attention away from the fact that you were not as popular everywhere?
Rybak nods.
Last year I called Melodi Grand Prix a gay parade, and it become a happy case in the newspapers. If I had said the same thing now, it would be pressed together with a real suck picture of me. I do not know how I did it, but last year I managed in a way to control the media.
You said at one point that you should stop to read everything that was written about you. Have you done that?
I did it in a while, but then I started again. It's good to know what people are writing about me.
Do you recognize yourself in it?
Yes, definitely. I say some stupid things, make some mistakes and learn from them. And then I try not to hurt anybody on my way.

Alexander Rybak is famous in Norway, but he is even more famous in the former Soviet Union. And that creats money. But when the cake are shared, is the main character just one of many.
Gross Fees may have been, I do not know, ten million?
How much is left for you?
Let's just pretend that I have received a great deal.
The management has taken the rest?
Among others, yes. I can understand anyway. They were eight, I was only one, he says and smiles.
In February Rybak digged up five million, and got an apartment at Aker Brygge. There is swimming pool on the roof, and from the balcony the celebrity can look at the hectic nightlife without being seen. So Rybak admits that he has been left with somehing. That he is particularly fond of luxury, he wont have stucked to him. Some might think that an apartment at Aker Brygge can be described as a luxury?
Yes, but I do not want unnecessary luxury. I got embarrassed, when I was offered my own car instead of driving in the van with the rest of the band. I denies that. But I love knowing that I have a luxury escaproom.
Is it practical that the escape room is not so far away from Nesoddbåten and mom and dad?
Yes, especially when I need to get my clothes washed. He-he.

When millions of eyes and ears tonight are tuned into Telenor Arena at Fornebu, Alexander Rybak, like the rest of the country, is probably crossing his fingers for Didrik Solli-Tangen and his "My heart is yours". But it's still not his favorite. And is it due solely to musical qualities?
Didrik's largest competitor, and my favorite is Germany. Her name is Lene and something, said Rybak get a little lost.
And then we are back to Rybaks favorite theme. Again.
Have you seen her? She is sooo sweet! Similar to Marit Larsen, except that she's just so much cheekier. Very lovely, he said.
Yes, and I’m going to invite her for dinner.

I started to translate the questions in todays radioprogram. (Guess they are most important first...)

It flows in with messages to Alexander, are you ready to answer a couple of them?

- Come on!

There are actually listeners from abroad; we have received messages from Finland, Greece and Turkey.

- Yes, I have some dedicated fans.

That’s obvious. Here comes one from Finland. I read it with Finnish accent. Why do you like Finland so much that you write a song about our country? I come from Finland and wondering about it, and do you like ballet?

- Let us take the latter first. Yes, I do not have much against ballet and like it more and more. I had a phase I did not like it when my first love left me and became together with a ballet dancer, but I've put that behind me and now I like ballet. Yes, especially Swan Lake. Ok, now I forgot the first. Yes, I have written a song about Finland on my new album, and it's called Suomi. As you know, I am not so well known for my creativity when it comes to text, but it is simple. Suomi, Finland, in my heart. Because I just think that Finland is the country that I could identify me with. If I had been a country, I would have been Finland. Because we talked earlier about the melancholy in Belarus and the optimistic Norway, and I can tell more about that. There is a lot more discipline in Belarus, where it is very strict from you are like four years old, while here we are enjoying ourselves. Here we are enjoying ourselves, but there comes to a point where you suddenly think that, what am I really going to do in this life except to enjoy myself. And Finland is able to mix the two cultures. And I was totally blown when I came to a school there and they played for me. They were so happy and it was the best quality I've heard at school level. And they were completely relaxed, there were no school uniforms or anything like that, they were cool and they were really good. That it the way it should be.

Did you speak Finnish then? You have to learn it.

- No, I made a song for them, and that must be enough.

Then it is a greeting from Turkey, it is Alev Canbulat. If you are listening Alev, you do not understand any Norwegian, she writes in English. But she thinks it is very nice to hear that you are so relaxed in the studio, and to hear your voice. She thinks it is very nice.

- Yes, it is late and it is no reason to stir up.

And then there's Anastasia Dourvetaki from Greece, who write in English: What is your craziest dream or wish and have you ever tried or will try to follow it?

- Well, I do not know what she is referring to.. If she..

What is the wildest thing you would like to do?

- This is from a lady who sent me on Facebook a very experimental novel. I do not know if it was she who wrote it or not. She is fantastic. But I think she means something deeper here.

But she wants to know your dream.

- I really want to start a school where children learn to play. Not necessarily classical, but a very, very diverse school where you learn all kinds of music. Maybe even a little acting, although I can not anything about acting.

A kind of LIPA then; Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, in Norway.

- Yes, there you made it very little exciting. It is true that we've already got such a school.

Yes, but it is in Liverpool and not in Norway.

- Yes, it is true, not on Nesodden.

(Then the female host asked a question about historical problems, Which he announced on Facebook a while ago. We have heard about that.)

There is a girl named Ida asking if you're going to have some concerts at the east part of the country this summer.

- Oh, where is this here? We live in eastern Norway. Yes, it is perfect. You know, Saturday 5 June, I have a concert at the Sluserock festival.

Sluserock festival? And it is in Østfold or?

We will try to find out while we play Maria Haukaas Storeng.

It's no understatement to say that it hails in with sms.

Yes it is rare in Stjerneklart that we can truly say with hand on heart that it hails with questions and comments. But it does actually tonight. I think I have never experienced so many questions at any time in Stjerneklart's history.

- Yes! Awesome, we like to hear that. I was a bit fed up of records last year but not this year, so it was about time.

That's good. And it is apparently an action going in Romania, because it is a lot ..

- A protest action then, or?

No, it's greetings from Team Rybak in Romania. I expect that they may not understand much Norwegian but ..

- Thank you, and I like your song, I love your song. You probably have several songs, so I listen to them all.

Mirela Joneta, Alina Daniela, Mirela P., Nicolai D. and Chintia D. (I really tried to figure out the correct names ..., but ...)

- There they are, in a row.

And everybody says, we love you Alex. Hope you haven’t forgot us.

- Absolutely not. And I got your card, thank you very much.

And then there is of course a number of Norwegians who also ask questions. Venche ask how do you think it will be to give a concert at Sluserock with a broken finger. We are a group of Facebookies who will be there, from several countries. And Sluserock is in Telemark, in Nome. We can state that.

- I agree on that. And there I shall have a concert on Saturday, it's true. And I wonder if I should take off the plaster for only one day. Or not. Maybe I'm teaching me to play ... Violin is not so bad, because I am actually almost even better.

It is the bow hand, right?

- Yes, and you'd think I was really handicapped because you need five fingers on the bow to be flexible. But I'm so macho in my playing that I have, if possible, been better with the plaster.

Yes, it's not a good idea to take off the plaster; it would probably be very painful..

- I do not know. I feel maybe I have been a little weak, but first and foremost, it really itches. But thanks for the concern, who was it who sent it?

It was one with the name Venche, who is going to the concert.

- Thank you for your concern Venche. I look forward.

You can wave to Alexander when you stand there in the audience..

- That is why I have with me three violin girls, because if I damage something then it is three substitutes that can produce violin sound.

Three super temps.

- Yes.

We have a question from Øresvik. Can you come to Rødøy Music School’s concert in Øresvik the 10th of June. It would mean the world to all the children who are trying to achieve something in a municipality without the money to develop talents. Best regards Helge from Rødøy municipality.

- Send mail to management@alexanderrybak.com. Exactly things like this are what I love to do, and then I do not care about the money. Ok, I would like to get the travel expenses covered. I like.., it’s like I'm on Giske again.

We have one more question. From Romania, it is Alina from Romania who writes. I have one question for you, what quality do you appreciate more in a girl.

- More? Less is more, maybe. That she does herself a little small, it is cosy. It shows greatness, actually.

There are many who want to ask you questions today, who are not journalists.

- Go ahead!

For example from Poland, Joanna Anacka I think it is pronounced. Do you like our dvd for your birthday? It’s obvious that they have sent you a dvd from Poland?

- Yes absolutely. Just to inform, it was simply a dvd with a lot of... I can not summarize it…It was only extra material on the dvd, to say it that way.

- Yes, I loved it, and I really hope to come to your country soon.

That’s the questions from several Polish, when are you coming to Poland?

- When do I get sanity? That’s first on the list, and then I come to Poland.

Patrycja Pajor, for example, asks about that. When do you come to Poland. And now you have answered that.

- Yes.

And there is one who says Sluserock festival is in Lunde. And she asks if you will take time for people after.

- I take time for people..

(These were the questions with names. He got a message from Kjell Arild, who told more about Sluserock festival and where it is, after this. And in the end he got a question about where to send fanmail and about the new cd, but without names.)

First part of yesterdays interview on Stjerneklart on NRK P1.

R1: His name means fish
R2: He has played since he was 4 -5 years
R1: He was rejected from Idol at age 19
R2: But he won Kjempesjansen the year after.
R1: He walked around in SUnnøre and held house concerts for food and lodging.

Last year's Eurovision Song Contest winner Alexander Rybak is our guest tonight.

If you have a question for Alexander ------

Playing Fairy Tale.

R1: You are now llistening to “Stjerneklar” on NRK P1, with Henriette Lise Krognes and Viggo Valle, and it’s only two days since the final of the ESC in Norway, thanks to the song we just heard and the evening's guest, Alexander Rybak. Welcome!

AR: Thank you. I hank you for your sincerity.
R2: Yes, how was it to see this year's final as a partly spectator, and not participant?

AR: I was 100% spectator I have to say, because I luckily got a place beside my mom and dad, and we watched and enjoyed it togehter. Set a bit quiet then, because on the right side, I had my mom, and on the other hand, I had Liza Seim, who won the very first finale in ESC.

R1: In 1955,
AR: 1955, that’s true, I was little then.
R1: Yes, it was so far before your parents were born too.
AR: The point was that I could not shake loose then, when it was that quiet people around me.
R1: But what do you really think about the song that won?
AR: Oh, so delicious. It is absolutely, completely right, and it’s good to say: "Ha! What did I say? "
R1: Yes, and you predicted it would win.
AR: Yes, I was doing a hard promotion.
R1: Was it because of the song or because of the performer?
AR: It was because of both. I thought as I saidearlier, that I had not been able to kiss the Greek guy on his mouth if he had won.
R2: That was a little discussion we had before we went on the air.
AR: Yes
R2: What have ESC meant for you?
AR: A lot, it has made me just put away all prejudices, it's very, very nice.
R1: What prejudices did you had?
AR: On other cultures. Type like oh, they always drive slow, and they are always listens to countr. You know what I mean? So now I have become in a way ... the last year I felt that I was a sort of ambassador for versatility.

R2: Does that mean you're going to participate again sometimes?
AR: Only if it is because of another artist, or several other artists. So, if it really goes that way, I'll participate for maybe Belarus or Russia, with other people in a group. But there is a bigger chance that I just participate as a composer, and I participate any country. That's what's fun.

R1: For us who have followed you the last year, it has looked a bit crazy. How would you describe the year that have passed since you won the final?
AR: Do you have 4 hours?
R2: No, we have 2.
AR: No, I can certainly find many adjectives about it, but it is simply learning. I would say that I have learned so much that at one point it was just too much, that I was at scratch again. You know what I mean? It is a phase where I felt really smart. Where I had so much inside from so many countries, so much knowledge, but it was too heavy luggage to carry, and I was suddenly back to dumb and naive again.
R1: Felt that you started again in a way?
AR: Yes, eventually It was almost a little hard because there was so much to think about. There were so many experiences, so I just, I agree with myself that, Yes, Alex, you've just had a lifetime this years, and now you just have to remember that there is still an audience out there who likes you. And now you just have to be allowed to be Alex.

R2: There are so many who asked, including me and Viggo. Why did you kiss the German winner when handed the winning trophy?

AR: It was just emotions running amok there. I was so happy. I would like to kiss all the German delegation, but I did just Lena. It is a very nice bunch, and Germany are the ones that I have had the most difficulty to put away my prejudices with. Because I thought I was .... Thus Germany, the country itself. I think there are strict people there, and it's completely different from what I am. I really like that - my children will be allowed to eat 10 ice cream every day.You know what I mean? Maybe not exactly 10 ice creems, but it's first now I love Germany, not necessarily only due to Lena. Her manager is the most sympathetic and inclusive human. I love her very much.

R2: But how did she react that you kiss her?
AR: I do not know, but you could see it on TV when she whispered something to me, and then she got the award.
R1: Have you talked to her afterwards, after she won?
AR. Yes, she - we've each others numbers, but I just told myself that now is not to harass the poor girl at the party. Now we have a new winner, and now you have to stay out of it Alex.

R1: But what advice would you give to her, you who have the experience you have?
AR: I gave her some advice before she won, she shouldn’t listen to too many advice.Because there are so many who think up and down about everything from attire and volume of the sound, of vibrato in the vocals. And because she was so ... She was almost crying into my room and just knew ... She thought it was too much then, and many people who would mean a lot, and then I said that : You know what Lena? It means that people want you well, and when this it happening. The same happened to Maria Haukaas Storeng. People knew that my God she could win, and then people just started to nag a lot. Everyone should mean something, because everyone want to think that they had something to do with the victory.Like Ah. I was the one who said that she should wear black. You know what I mean?

Playing “You are my best friend” by Queen.

Thanks for the great job you have done with the translation of the interview from the "Magasinet" from 05.29.1910 Tessa :)
I just add a translation of a little questionnaire that was at the top of one of the pages :

Born : 13. May 1986.

Family : I am an only child. It is perhaps why I am so eager to find myself a girlfriend.

Current interest : Performs during the final of Eurovision tonight, and the new album "No Boundaries" is in stores in two weeks.

This provokes me : Indetermination.

In ten years : Have I found myself a "budeie" (= "milkmaid"). A wife. It's very important to me.

Best feature: I never give up faith in people.

Worst feature : The same.

What are you afraid of : To end up alone. - and having too many girlfriends.

I wish that : Everyone could understand me. No. Yes. That everybody could understand me.

Reading : FHM- For Him Magazine. And there are a lot of clever humor in "Calvin and Hobbes".

Admire : My Mom and Dad, who have endured.

If I could travel back in time : When I went ten years back in time, to a
orchestra tour in Austria. There I met my first love. It was not very romantic, rather "fylleklining" (=something like "drunk petting"). I would travel back to experience the pure crush without the knowledge of how wrong things can go.

You get free and can go wherever you want : New York. You get so much more romantic there.

Fant tonen!
Vil holde kontakten.
Samtidig sjarmerte 19-åringen hele Europa i senk.

Translation:

Found the tone! It was sweet music when Alexander Rybak gave a Lusekofte to German Lena on behalf of Se & Heør.
He is charming, cool and very funny. I did not think he was so down to earth, "said Grand Prix winner Lena Meyer-Landrut (19) to Se & Hør.
Se& Hør was exclusively present when the two met in front of a live broadcast on the big German TV channel Pro7.
Lena is very sweet, and I almost think I'm in love, Alexander grinned.
Buying a cow.
They immediately found the tone when they met for the first time. Earlier in the day Lena met the Norwegian hope, Didrik Solli-Tangen, for the first time, and he gave her a piece of cake.
What? Did Didrik come in ahead of me? I will buy you a cow, grinning Alexander to Lena.
My favorite.
You were even my favorite before I heard your song the big charmer said.
Heh, heh, thanks for that - but I also appreciate that people like my song, laughs the charming German teenager.
Will keep in touch.
While Se & Hør photograph them, they hugging each other and were apparently absorbed by another. You got have my phone number because I want to keep in touch with you, says last year's winner.
Åhh, thank you. Can I get your e-mail address as well? It's so expensive to call from Germany, haunted the beautiful girl who won this year Eurovision Song Contest. At the same the 19-year-old charmed Europe completely.

Alex visited a school today and joined the " Run for life", supporting UNICEF. There is a grateful comment in norwegian on fans wall. He stayed and gave 450 autographs after the race.

Next? They will have children of course! And remember, both "Alexander" and "Lena" are Greek names. So they make the perfect couple, Portokalos says.

Due to the royal wedding June 19, TV4 will have a "love feast" in the park Kungsträdgården in Stockholm. Guess who will be there?

Unfortunately it doesn't say the exact day or time.
